Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) recently faced opposition from telecom operators regarding additional requirements for a new whitelisting solution. The operators argued that the demands, such as declaring the final destination URL when whitelisting a short URL, were not feasible. This conflict follows TRAI's decision to grant telcos a one-month extension until September 30 to comply with the whitelisting of messages containing URLs or call-back numbers.
