Zoho CEO, Sridhar Vembu, criticized Google for removing several Indian apps from the Play Store due to non-compliance with payment policies. Vembu called it a case of monopoly abuse and urged regulators and courts to intervene. The post received significant attention, with some users expressing interest in a Zoho-owned Play Store platform. Previously, Sundar Pichai-led Google delisted over 20 apps, including popular ones like Shaadi.com and Naukri.com. In response, Shaadi.com CEO, Anupam Mittal, called it a dark day for the Indian internet and accused Google of having little regard for India. However, many users supported Google's right to delist non-compliant apps. Some of the apps, including Shaadi.com and Naukri, were eventually restored on the Play Store.
