Google starts delisting Indian apps for non-compliance with Play Store norms

Google has reportedly removed several apps in India, including those from Matrimony.com and Shaadi.com, alleging non-compliance with Play Store policies. The founder and CEO of People Group, Anupam Mittal, criticized Google for delisting the apps without prior notice, in violation of a Supreme Court judgement. He called for government intervention to ensure compliance with the orders. Murugavel Janakiraman, the founder of Matrimony.com, stated that the removal of apps on a Friday limited the chance to seek legal remedies and that the company is in discussions with Google.
