E-commerce enablement SaaS platform Unicommerce continued its growth trajectory over the last quarter, reporting a 73% increase in revenue and 18% jump in profit. The company’s revenue from operations rose to Rs 45 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 26 crore in Q4 FY24, according to its financial statement sourced from National Stock Exchange (NSE). For the full fiscal year ending March 2025, Unicommerce’s revenue rose 31% to Rs 135 crore. Including other undisclosed income, its total income for Q4 FY25 grew to Rs 46 crore, up from Rs 27.7 crore in Q4 FY24. On the expense front, employee benefits remained steady at Rs 16 crore in Q4 FY25. Server hosting costs declined 28% to Rs 1 crore from Rs 1.4 crore, while depreciation and amortization rose to Rs 4 crore. Finance costs stood at Rs 1.5 crore during the quarter. Overall, Unicommerce’s total expenses for the quarter increased 71% to Rs 41 crore from Rs 24 crore in Q4 FY24. Annually, total expense increased to Rs 116 crore in FY25 from Rs 92 crore in FY24. At the end, the Gurugram-based firm reported a 16.4% spike in its profit to Rs 3.35 crore in Q4 FY25 as compared to Rs 2.88 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal basis, the company’s profit increased 34.3% to Rs 17.6 crore in FY25 from Rs 13.1 crore in FY24. Since its public listing in August 2024, Unicommerce has seen significant growth in market capitalization, which now stands at Rs 1,321 crore. As of May 5, its share price closed at Rs 128, up from the listing price of Rs 108. The stock reached its 52-week peak of Rs 264 in August last year.

Online trucking platform Blackbuck has released its quarterly report for the financial year ending March 2025. The Bengaluru-based company reported a 31% year-on-year growth in scale in Q4 FY25 and turned profitable, posting a profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 41 crore in the quarter. For the full fiscal year (FY25), Blackbuck’s operating revenue increased 44% to Rs 427 crore in FY25 from Rs 297 crore in FY24. Revenue from its truck operator services was the primary source of revenue, accounting for 98% of total operating revenue. The company also made Rs 15 crore from interest income which took its overall revenue to Rs 137 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 99 crore in Q4 FY24. For the full fiscal year, the firm’s total revenue stood at Rs 462 crore in FY25. Looking at the expenses, the employee benefit cost accounted for 35% of the overall expenditure which fell 74% year-on-year to Rs 33 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 128 crore in Q4 FY24. Depreciation and other operating expenses were key overheads that drove total expenditure to Rs 95 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 187 crore in the same quarter last year. For the fiscal year ending March 2025, the firm’s total expenses fell to Rs 371 crore as compared to Rs 483 crore in FY24. Blackbuck booked profit before tax of Rs 41 crore in Q4 FY25, as compared to a loss of Rs 87 crore in Q4 FY24. Meanwhile, for the full fiscal year ended March 2025, the company remained at a loss of Rs 283 crore (before tax), 69% more than Rs 167 crore in FY24. Blackbuck debuted on the stock exchange at Rs 208.90 and is now trading at Rs 459 on May 27, bringing its total market capitalization to Rs 8,180 crore.

Foodtech and quick commerce platform Zomato on Monday released its financial results for the fourth quarter of the ongoing fiscal year (Q4 FY24). With the steady expansion, the company has witnessed around 27% increase in its profit along with marginal growth in revenue. Zomato’s revenue from operations grew 8.3% to Rs 3,562 crore in Q4 FY24 in contrast to Rs 3,288 crore in Q3 FY24, as per the firm’s consolidated financial results sourced from the National Stock Exchange. With this, Zomato’s overall revenue for the fiscal year ending March 2024 jumped 71% to Rs 12,114 crore from Rs 7,079 in FY23. Zomato operates several business units including a food marketplace, Hyperpure and quick commerce platform BlinkIt. Income from food and delivery biz accounted for 48.8% in Q4 FY24 which grew 2.1% to Rs 1,739 in Q4 FY24 from Rs Rs 1,704 crore in Q3 FY24. The collections from Hyperpure supplies (B2B) and quick commerce vertical (Blinkit) grew 10.7% and 19.4% to Rs 951 crore and Rs 769 crore, respectively. Earning from “Going-out” and other non-operating income took Zomato Group’s overall revenue to Rs 3,797 crore in Q4 FY24. The cost for delivery and related charges formed 30.7% of the overall expenditure which increased 4.7% to Rs 1,118 crore in Q4 FY24. Its cost of procurement, employee benefits, advertising, and marketing pushed its overall expenditure to Rs 3,636 in Q4FY24 from Rs 3,382 in Q3FY24. The optimum cost mechanism and increased scale helped Zomato to record a 26.8% hike in its profits to Rs 175 in Q4 FY24 from Rs 138 crore in Q3 FY24. On a unit level, the Gurugram-based company spent Rs 1.02 to earn a rupee in Q4 FY24.

Nat Habit’s revenue from operations increased by 80% to Rs 72 crore in FY24 from Rs 40 crore in FY23, according to its financial statement sourced from Registrar of Companies (RoC). Founded by Swagatika Das and Gaurav Agarwal in 2018, Nat Habit offers Ayurvedic personal care products such as shampoo, face wash, moisturiser among others. Sale of these products was the sole source of revenue for the company during the said fiscal year (FY24). Advertising remained the company’s largest cost center, rising 38.5% to Rs 36 crore and accounting for nearly 40% of total expenses. The startup also incurred Rs 14 crore in employee benefits, more than doubling from Rs 6.5 crore in FY23. Raw material costs increased to Rs 12 crore, while transportation and other operating overheads stood at Rs 11 crore and Rs 18 crore, respectively in the said fiscal year. Overall, the company’s total expenses rose 65.5% to Rs 91 crore in FY24 from Rs 55 crore in FY23. Revenue growth outpacing expenses led to losses remaining flat at Rs 17.75 crore in FY24 as compared to Rs 17.6 crore in FY23. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin stood at -24.65% and -21.58%, respectively. The firm spent Rs 1.26 to earn a rupee of operating revenue in FY24, compared to Rs 1.38 in FY23. The Gurugram-based company recorded current assets worth Rs 58 crore in FY24 which includes Rs 41 crore in cash and bank balance. According to TheKredible, Nat Habit has raised a total of approx $16 million of funding till date, having Peak XV Partners, Fireside Ventures and Whiteboard Capital as its lead investors. The company’s co-founders Swagatika Das and Gaurav Agarwal together own 33.1% of the company. In FY24, Nat Habit bought back about 6 lakh shares at a price of Rs 250 each, aiming to better manage its ownership structure and create more value for shareholders. At the same time, the company increased its authorized share capital sharply from Rs 3.51 crore to Rs 29.3 crore, possibly to prepare for future fundraising.

Revenue from Hyperpure (B2B supplies) and the quick commerce segment (Blinkit) saw significant growth, rising 93% to Rs 1,840 crore and 122% to Rs 1,709 crore, respectively, during the last quarter of FY25. Earnings from the 'Going-out' segment and other non-operating income brought the Eternal Group’s total revenue to Rs 6,201 crore in Q4 FY25. Delivery and related charges accounted for 25% of Eternal's total expenditure, at Rs 1,552 crore in Q4 FY25. Employee benefit cost rose 89% to Rs 1632 crore, while spending on advertising and marketing increased by 63% to Rs 634 crore in FY24. Overall, the company’s overall expenditure increased by 68% to Rs 6,104 crore in Q4 FY25, up from Rs 3,636 crore in Q3 FY25. An increase in current tax expenses to Rs 74 crore led to a 78% drop in the company’s profit after tax, which fell to Rs 39 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 175 crore in Q4 FY24. On a per-unit basis, the Gurugram-based company spent Rs 1.04 to earn every rupee of revenue during the quarter ending March 2025.

The company’s quick commerce segment also saw remarkable growth, with revenue surging by 115% to Rs 689 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 320 crore in Q4 FY24. The segment's gross order value (GOV) growth was driven by an increase in order frequency and the addition of new dark stores. Scootsy Logistics contributed a major 45% of Swiggy’s overall operating collection. Income from this entity increased by 58% YoY to Rs 2,004 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 1,265 crore in Q4 FY24. During the last quarter, Swiggy invested Rs 1,000 crore in Scootsy to support expansion and growth. Swiggy’s Dine Out, Genie, Swiggy Mini, and other non-operating income took its total revenue to Rs 4,531 crore in Q4 FY25. For the full fiscal year ending March 2025, Swiggy’s revenue rose 35% to Rs 15,227 crore in FY25 from Rs 11,247 crore in FY24. On the cost side, the procurement of FMCG products for supply chain distribution formed 33% of its overall cost which increased by 52% to Rs 1,854 crore in Q4 FY25. Meanwhile, the delivery charges saw 27% growth to Rs 1,161 crore in Q4 FY25. Swiggy spent Rs 695 crore and Rs 978 crore on employee benefits and advertising, respectively. Overall, Swiggy’s total expenses for the quarter increased 53% to Rs 5,609 crore from Rs 3,668 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal-on-fiscal year basis, its total expenses increased to Rs 18,725 crore in the quarter ending March 2025 from Rs 13,947 crore in FY24. The 53% growth in expenditure led losses to increase by 95% to Rs 1,081 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 555 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal-on-fiscal basis, Swiggy’s losses spiked 33% to Rs 3,117 crore in FY25 from Rs 2,350 crore in FY24.

Income from digital map data, GPS navigation, location-based services, and IoT was the primary source of revenue for MapMyIndia, accounting for 88% of the total collection. This revenue source increased by 51% to Rs 127 crore in Q4 FY25. However, income from the sale of its devices generated Rs 16.5 crore in revenue. The cost of IoT devices, employee benefits, and outsourced technical services were the major cost elements, pushing the total cost of the firm to Rs 90 crore in Q4 FY25, up from Rs 72 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal basis, the total cost increased to Rs 306 crore in FY25. With the increase in scale, MapMyIndia recorded a 29% increase in its profit to Rs 49 crore during Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 38 crore in the fourth quarter of the previous fiscal year. Meanwhile, annual profit increased by 10% to Rs 148 crore in FY25, up from Rs 134 crore in FY24. At the end of the day on 9th May 2025, MapMyIndia closed at Rs 1,845 per share, with a market capitalization of Rs 10,040 crore ($1.17 billion).

However, the company turned EBITDA positive during the same period, despite an increase in overall expenses. XpressBees’ operating revenue increased by 12% to Rs 2,831 crore in FY24 from Rs 2,531 crore in FY23, as per its consolidated financial statement sourced from the Registrar of Companies (RoC). XpressBees provides B2B/B2C express delivery service, cross-border logistics, and warehousing services to e-commerce players including Snapdeal, Myntra, Meesho, Netmeds, and Bigbasket, among others. Revenue from logistics services remained the primary source of income for XpressBees, accounting for 97% of the company’s total revenue. However, the company’s warehousing business, though smaller in size, posted an impressive jump (60X) — soaring from Rs 0.77 crore in FY23 to Rs 48 crore in FY24, signaling a strong push toward expanding its non-courier biz. The remaining revenue came from warehouse services (Rs 48 crore) and support services (Rs 31 crore), both of which witnessed notable growth. The firm also added Rs 109 crore from non-operating activities, which pushed its overall income to Rs 2940 crore in FY24. On the expense side, courier charges remained XpressBees’ largest cost component, rising 12% to Rs 1,816 crore in FY24. Linehaul charges saw a modest 6% increase to Rs 494 crore, while employee benefit expenses rose by nearly 10% to Rs 355 crore in the said fiscal year. Depreciation costs spiked 49% to Rs 159 crore, and other operational expenses contributed an additional Rs 319 crore. Overall, XpressBees’ total expenditure increased 13% year-on-year, reaching Rs 3,143 crore in FY24 from Rs 2,785 crore in FY23. With expenses growing faster than revenue, XpressBees' net loss widened by 11%, rising to Rs 200 crore in FY24 from Rs 180 crore in FY23. However, the Pune-based firm achieved EBITDA positivity, reporting an EBITDA of Rs 5 crore for the same period. The company’s ROCE stood at -8.32%, while its EBITDA margin came in at a modest 0.17%. On a per-unit basis, XpressBees spent Rs 1.11 to earn every rupee in revenue during FY24. XpressBees recorded current assets worth Rs 1867 crore in FY24, including Rs 1331 crore in cash and bank balances. Recently, Xpressbees acquired courier firm Trackon and named Uday R. Sharma as CBO for B2B, 3PL, and cross-border operations. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, XpressBees has raised a total of $625 million in funding to date, having Norwest Venture Partners and Alibaba Group as its lead investors. The company’s Co-Founder & CEO Amitava Saha owns 3.15% of the company.

One97 Communication Private Limited, the parent company of Paytm, scaled 25% year-on-year during the fiscal year ending March 2024. The Noida-based firm, however, managed to maintain EBITDA profitability before ESOP throughout the last fiscal year (FY24). Paytm’s revenue from operations grew 25% to Rs 9,978 crore in FY24 from Rs 7,990 crore in FY23, its annual financial statements disclosed through the National Stock Exchange show. Income from payment services accounted for 62.48% of the total operating revenue, which grew 25% to Rs 6,235 crore in FY24. Meanwhile, income from financial services grew by 30% to Rs 2,004 crore. The remainder income came from marketing and other sources. Paytm also made Rs 547 crore from non-operating activities mainly from interest and gain on financial assets, tallying the total income to Rs 10,525 crore in the last fiscal year (FY24). To the tune of other technology firms, its employee benefits accounted for 39.4% of the overall expenditure. This cost surged 21.5% to Rs 4,589 crore in FY24 from Rs 3,778 crore in FY23. This includes Rs 1,466 crore as share-based payment aka ESOPs cost. Its payment processing charges grew 10.9% to Rs 3,280 crore in FY2. Paytm’s software/tech, marketing cum promotional, legal, and other overheads drove its total expenditure up by 15% to Rs 11,645 crore in FY24 from Rs 10,130 crore in FY23. Note: Paytm has booked Rs 1,465 crore of ESOPs and wrote off Rs 227 crore worth of investments which was made to its associate firm Paytm Payments Bank Ltd (PPBL) after RBI’s action. The decent growth and controlled expenditure helped Paytm to reduce its net losses by 20% to Rs 1,422 crore in FY24. Meanwhile, Paytm maintained its EBITDA profitability before ESOP throughout the year which stood at Rs 559 crore in FY24.
