Beauty and personal care D2C firm Pilgrim has raised Rs 75 crore (approximately $9 million) in its extended Series B round led by Fireside and Vertex Ventures. The board at Pilgrim has passed a special resolution to issue 854 Series B1 and B2 preference shares at an issue price of Rs 8,77 655 each to raise Rs 75 crore or $9 million, its regulatory filing accessed from the Registrar of Companies shows. Fireside and Vertex Ventures pumped in Rs 25 crore and Rs 23 crore, respectively. NSFO Ventures, Mirabilis Investment, and NABS Vriddhi cumulatively invested Rs 27 crore during the round. The company will use these proceeds for expansion and general corporate purposes as decided by the board, the filings further added. According to the startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, the company’s valuation has soared to approximately Rs 2,075 crore (around $250 million) post-allotment. This marks an over threefold increase from its last funding round, of $20 million where the company was valued at $75 million. The firm may raise more funds in this round. With the recent funding, Fireside Ventures remains the largest external stakeholder with a 23% stake, followed by Vertex Ventures, which holds 11.2%. NSFO Ventures and Mirabilis Investment command 5.57% and 2.81% stakes, respectively. Founded by Anurag Kedia in 2019, Pilgrim offers more than 90 SKUs across face care, haircare, and skincare products, and fragrances in over 25,000 pin codes. The company said that it offers a wide range of products curated with ingredients from France, Korea, Spain, Australia, the Amazon Rainforest, and Swiss glaciers. The five-year-old firm has raised around $35 million across rounds including its $20 million Series B led by Vertex Ventures in 2023. The company posted 4.47X growth in scale to Rs 76 crore in FY23 from Rs 17 crore in FY22. In pursuit of growth, its losses also jumped 3X to Rs 23 crore in FY23. Pilgrim is yet to file annual results for FY24.

SS Supply Chain Solutions (3SC) has raised Rs 31 crore (approximately $4 million) from existing investors GEF Capital’s South Asia Growth Fund. This is the first round of investment for the Gurugram-based company this year. The board at 3SC has passed a special resolution to issue 31,00,000 compulsory convertible preference shares at an issue price of Rs 100 each to raise Rs 31 crore, its regulatory filing accessed from the Registrar of Companies shows. The company will use these funds for growth and expansion, as decided by the board of directors. The regulatory filings added that GEF Capital’s South Asia Growth Fund will hold 66.27% of the company post-allotment. 3SC had raised $15 million in its Series B round led by GEF Capital’s South Asia Fund in July 2021. Looking at the trend, it appears that GEF Capital will take over the company wholly in the coming years. Established in 2012 by Lalit and Sarita Das, 3SC provides supply chain service, catering to a diverse array of industries such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, industrials, FMCD, FMCG, and e-commerce. It also delivers supply chain analytics solutions to businesses. 3SC claims to have more than 100 data scientists, over 75 clients and has done more than 20,000 transactions to date. 3SC Solutions’ revenue from operations barely grew 1.71% to Rs 130.8 crore during FY23 from Rs 128.6 crore in FY22. As per the company’s consolidated financial statement, its losses jumped 2.3X to Rs 31.5 crore in FY23 against Rs 14 crore in FY22. The firm is yet to file its audited financial statements for FY24. Last month, climate tech focused private equity firm GEF Capital Partners recently closed its$325 million GEF US Climate Solutions Fund II. Its portfolio includes Blue Earth Capital, HQ Capital, ODDO BHF, and INGKA Investments, among others. It recently signed an agreement to invest Rs 580 crore in TI Clean Mobility.

Troo Good, a millet-based snack brand, has raised Rs 72 crore (approximately $8.6 million) from Oaks Asset Management, with participation from Puro Wellness and V Ocean Investments. The board at Troo Good has passed a resolution to issue 10,176 equity shares to raise the aforementioned sum, its regulatory filing accessed by Entrackr from Registrar of Companies shows. Existing investor Oaks Asset Management contributed Rs 37 crore, while V Ocean Investments and Puro Wellness invested Rs 10 crore and Rs 25 crore, respectively. The filing also mentioned that the company will use these funds to meet its working capital requirements. The company has raised around Rs 132 crore to date including its Rs 55 crore in a Series A led Oaks Management in November 2021. According to the startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Troo Good will be valued at Rs 322 crore or $38 million post-allotment. Following the recent funding, Oaks Asset Management will hold a significant 28.89% of the capital, while Puro Wellness and V Ocean Investments will command stakes of 7.75% and 14.28%, respectively. Founded in 2018 by Raju Bhupati, Troo Good is a Hyderabad-based company that sells millet-based snacks, including chikkis, protein bars, and nutri bars. The company claims to sell over 2 million millet chikkis and other millet snacks every day. While the firm has yet to report FY24 numbers, Troo Good recorded a modest 7% growth in revenue, rising to Rs 52.7 crore in the fiscal year ending March 2023. However, effective cost management enabled Troo Good to achieve profitability during the same period. It competes with Slurrp Farm, which raised $7.2 million in January this year, as reported exclusively by Entrackr.
