Mortgage brand LoanKuber, which operates Janasha Finance, has raised $3.5 million in a pre-Series B round led by Singapore-based TRTL VC and existing backer Inflection Point Ventures. The round also saw participation from Auxano, LetsVenture, Mavuca Capital as well as angel investors such as Ruchi Deepak (co-founder, Acko), Prashant Tandon (co-founder, 1mg) and Pankaj Vermani (co-founder, Clovia). Earlier in February last year, the startup had raised $2 million in Series A round led by Inflection Point Ventures and others. It has raised $13 million to date. The proceeds will be used for expanding its assets under management (AUM), which currently stand at approximately Rs 93 crore. It will also be deployed in technological infrastructure and help strengthen its leadership team. Founded in 2017 by Saurabh Nagpal, LoanKuber provides customised mortgage loans to undeserved MSMEs. It claims to build an automated institutional co-lending platform for micro-mortgages allowing for competitive pricing to the end customer while generating significantly higher yields on its own NBFC balance sheet. The company has created hybrid acquisition channels that include a digital connector platform, lead generation platform, and low-cost branches reducing customer acquisition costs by 30%. According to LoanKuber, it has put strong focus on unit metrics/capital efficiency and frugal operations has helped LoanKuber build a profitable business since inception. With the net worth now increasing to around Rs 51 crore, LoanKuber plans to scale its AUM to approximately Rs 180 crore within the next 12 months.

Ad-tech firm AdOnMo has raised Rs 58.21 crore (around $7 million) in its Series B1 round. This is the first major infusion in the Hyderabad-based company after its Series A round led by Zomato last year. The board at AdOnMo has passed a special resolution to issue 36 equity and 4,156 CCPS at an issue price of Rs 1,38,850 each to raise Rs 58.21 crore or $7 million, its regulatory filing with the RoC shows. Healthcare veteran Ravindranath Kancherla and his son Kancherla Pruthvinath injected Rs 16.6 crore while Qatar Insurance Company and ZNL Growth (Z Nation Lab) pumped in Rs 8 crore and Rs 1.80 crore, respectively. Three dozen individual investors including Manish Kailash Chhabra, Vindhya Guduru, Vikram Malhotra, Usha Reddy Chigarapalli, and Desireddy Srinivasa Reddy also invested in AdOnMo’s Series B round. The company will use these investments for business expansion and to meet working capital requirements, according to the filing. According to the startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, AdOnMo has been valued at around Rs 858 crore or $105 million (post-money). During the ongoing fiscal year, the company also raised Rs 20 crore in debt from Northern Arc and Alteria Capital. Founded in 2016 by Sandeep Bommireddi and Sravanth Gajula, AdOnMo is an ad-tech company which provides targeted digital advertising to outdoor digital screens (residential & corporate parks) across 21 cities. As of now, the company has raised around $25 million across rounds including its $15 million round led by Zomato last year. Before this round, Zomato was the largest external stakeholder with a 17.49% stake followed by BAce Capital and Astarc Ventures. AdOnMo grew at a rapid clip in the last fiscal year as its revenue from operations surged four-fold to Rs 75 crore in FY23. Meanwhile, the company’s losses stood at Rs 38 crore in the same period.

Gully Labs raises Rs 8.7 Cr in seed round led by Zeropearl VC Sneaker brand Gully Labs has raised Rs 8.7 crore in a seed funding round — comprising Rs 7.6 crore in equity and Rs 1.1 crore in venture debt. The equity round was led by Zeropearl VC along with participation from Untitled Ventures, Atrium Ventures, and other prominent angel investors including Bounce co-founder & CEO Vivekananda Hallekere, Suhasini Sampath, Nishchay AG, Renee Cosmetics founder Ashutosh Valani, Anurag Ramadasan, and Rahul Seth, while Stride Ventures led the debt investment. Prior to this, the company had secured Rs 1.1 crore in equity during its pre-seed round in 2024. The fresh capital will be deployed towards diversifying the product mix, expanding sales channels, and opening physical retail stores, Gully Labs said in a press release. Co-founded in 2023 by Arjun Singh and Animesh Mishra, Gully Labs crafts handmade sneakers, blending premium materials with culturally rich design stories — from Phulkari-embroidered trainers to Onam-inspired silhouettes. Gully Labs sells its products through its website and in select partner stores across Indian metros. The company plans to build a larger production facility, broaden its product line across diverse sneaker styles, and deepen its reach across India and global markets. It also plans to launch exclusive retail outlets as part of its omni-channel strategy.

Healthcare firm GenWorks has raised Rs 41 crore (around $5 million) in a funding round led by Evolvence Fund. Somerset Indus Healthcare Fund and key individuals from the Zawawi Group also joined the round. The board at GenWorks Health has passed a special resolution to issue 5,12,500 CCPS at an issue price of Rs 800 each to raise the above sum, its regulatory filing accessed from the Registrar of Companies shows. Evolvence Fund and Somerset Indus Healthcare Fund have injected Rs 26 crore and Rs 8.2 crore, respectively, while Kasiraman Swaminathan and Ramesh Kumar Sivaraman (Group CEO and Finance Manager of Zawawi Group) collectively invested Rs 8.2 crore. According to the startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, the Bengaluru-based company has been valued at around Rs 540-550 crore or $65 million (post-allotment). Following the fresh investment, Evolvence Fund has acquired a 1.51% stake whereas Somerset Indus Healthcare and both the key personnel of Zawawi Group hold 4.54% and 1.52%, respectively. Started as a Wipro GE invested entity, Genworks has raised over $33 million to date, including its $17 million investment round led by Wipro GE and Morgan Stanely in May 2022. Wipro Ge is a joint venture between the Indian IT major and American multinational GE Healthcare. The firm also bagged $4 million from BlackSoil in May 2023. Founded by S GaneshPrasad, GenWorks offers medical devices for Cardiology, ENT, IVD, newborn care, radiology and respiratory diagnosis, among others. As per its website, it has touched over 200 million people in India since its inception, and 6 million lives every year. The ten-year-old company has been growing at a brisk pace in the past few fiscal years. With Rs 447 crore in operating collection during FY23, it registered 20% year-on-year growth over FY22. Meanwhile, its losses also spiked 46% to Rs 44 crore in the same period. GenWorks is yet to report financial numbers for the last fiscal year (FY24).
