SleepyCat posted strong growth in the fiscal year ended March 2025, with its operating revenue nearing Rs 100 crore. At the same time, the direct to consumer mattress brand kept its losses in single digits. SleepyCat’s revenue from operations rose 44% to Rs 98 crore in FY25 from Rs 68 crore in FY24, according to its financial statements sourced from the Registrar of Companies (RoC). SleepyCat operates a direct-to-consumer model focused on selling mattresses and sleep accessories primarily through its online channels. The company generated most of its revenue from the sale of finished goods, which contributed 89% of the total and increased 39% to Rs 87 crore in FY25. Revenue from the sale of traded goods nearly doubled to Rs 9.8 crore during the year. On the spending side, the cost of material accounted for half of its total cost, this expense climbed 52% to Rs 54 crore in FY25 from Rs 35.6 crore in FY24. Employee benefit expenses rose 11% to Rs 10 crore in FY25 from Rs 9 crore in FY24. Overall, SleepyCat’s total expenses expanded 44% to Rs 108.5 crore in FY25 from Rs 75.5 crore in FY24. Along with the increase in its scale, the company’s loss increased by 29% to Rs 9 crore in FY25 from Rs 7 crore in FY24. The company posted an EBITDA loss of Rs 9.6 crore in FY25 compared to Rs 6.7 crore in the previous year, while its EBITDA margin remained largely flat at -9.80%. The Bengaluru-based firm reported cash and bank balances of Rs 3 crore at the end of FY25, while its current assets stood at Rs 18.6 crore. SleepyCat has raised around $5 million of funding till date, having DSG Consumer Partners as its lead investor.

The company’s largest expense was the cost of materials, which accounted for 75% of the total cost. This expense rose 18% to Rs 551 crore in FY25 from Rs 467 crore in FY24. On the other hand, employee benefit expenses decreased 13% to Rs 69 crore in FY25 from Rs 79 crore in FY24. While legal and professional fees rose 41% to Rs 38 crore, finance costs more than doubled to Rs 14.5 crore. Other expenses added the remaining Rs 51.5 crore, pushing total costs to Rs 731 crore in FY25. In the end, GenieMode managed to cut its loss by 35% to Rs 51 crore in FY25 from Rs 78 crore in FY24. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin stood at -10.76% and -7.58%, respectively. On a unit basis, the company spent Rs 1.09 to earn a rupee of operating revenue in the last fiscal year. On a balance sheet front, the Gurugram-based company recorded total assets of Rs 690.5 crore in FY25 while current assets were Rs 544 crore including Rs 42 crore in cash and bank balances. According to TheKredible, GenieMode has raised $92 million of funding till date, having Info Edge, Tiger Global and Multiples Equity as its lead investors. The company’s co-founders Amit Sharma and Tanuj Gangwani own 39% of the company.

The company also made Rs 15 crore from interest income which took its overall revenue to Rs 137 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 99 crore in Q4 FY24. For the full fiscal year, the firm’s total revenue stood at Rs 462 crore in FY25. Looking at the expenses, the employee benefit cost accounted for 35% of the overall expenditure which fell 74% year-on-year to Rs 33 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 128 crore in Q4 FY24. Depreciation and other operating expenses were key overheads that drove total expenditure to Rs 95 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 187 crore in the same quarter last year. For the fiscal year ending March 2025, the firm’s total expenses fell to Rs 371 crore as compared to Rs 483 crore in FY24. Blackbuck booked profit before tax of Rs 41 crore in Q4 FY25, as compared to a loss of Rs 87 crore in Q4 FY24. Meanwhile, for the full fiscal year ended March 2025, the company remained at a loss of Rs 283 crore (before tax), 69% more than Rs 167 crore in FY24. Blackbuck debuted on the stock exchange at Rs 208.90 and is now trading at Rs 459 on May 27, bringing its total market capitalization to Rs 8,180 crore.

Intercity mobility platform Zingbus nearly doubled its scale in the fiscal year ending March 2025. However, the Gurugram-based company continued to remain in losses. Zingbus’ revenue from operations surged 85% to Rs 161 crore in FY25 from Rs 87 crore in FY24, according to its financial statements filed with the Registrar of Companies (RoC). Zingbus primarily generates revenue from intercity bus ticketing services. Revenue from these services was the sole source of revenue for the company. On the spending side, bus hire charges formed the largest expense element contributing over 63% of the total expenditure. This cost jumped 147% to Rs 121 crore in FY25 from Rs 49 crore in FY24. Guarantee commission paid to fleet partners also rose sharply by 78% to Rs 16 crore, whereas employee benefit expenses grew moderately by 7% to Rs 15 crore. Advertising expenses increased 9% to Rs 6 crore in the same period. Overall, Zingbus’ total expenditure grew 65% to Rs 191 crore in FY25 from Rs 116 crore in FY24. Despite the sharp scale up, the company managed to significantly improve its operating efficiency. EBITDA loss reduced to Rs 30.4 crore in FY25 from Rs 38.7 crore, translating into an EBITDA margin improvement from -44.5% in FY24 to -18.9% in FY25. Zingbus posted a net loss of Rs 25 crore in FY25, almost flat compared to Rs 24 crore loss in FY24. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin stood at -40.39% and -18.88% respectively. On a unit level, the company spent Rs 1.19 to earn a rupee of operating revenue during FY25 as compared to Rs 1.33 per rupee in the previous fiscal year. Zingbus held cash and bank balances of Rs 3 crore, with current assets standing at Rs 9 crore at the end of FY25. According to TheKredible, Zingbus has raised a total of $25 million of funding till date, having AdvantEdge Technologies, Info Edge and BP Ventures as its lead investors. Zingbus is focusing on an EV fleet and carbon neutral rides, aiming to build a valuable brand and recognition in a cluttered market. It faces challenges such as high dependence on imported buses and inadequate charging infrastructure, as well as potential impacts from fluctuating LNG prices.

For the full fiscal year (FY25), Delhivery’s operating revenue increased 10% to Rs 8,932 crore in FY25 from Rs 8,141 crore in FY24. Delhivery's primary revenue sources were its logistics services, including warehousing, last-mile logistics, and designing and deploying logistics management systems. The firm also earned Rs 112 crore from non-operating activities, bringing its total revenue to Rs 2,303 crore in Q4 FY25. Meanwhile, for the full fiscal year, total income reached Rs 9,372 crore. For Delhivery, freight handling and servicing costs made up 70% of its total expenditure, rising by 3% to Rs 1,566 crore in Q4 FY25. Employee benefit expenses decreased by 6% to Rs 337 crore. Legal, depreciation, and other overhead costs contributed to a minor decrease in overall expenditure, which reached Rs 2,249 crore during the quarter. For the full financial year ending March 2025, the firm’s total expenses rose to Rs 9,217 crore as against Rs 8,825 crore in FY24. Delhivery's continued growth and controlled expenditure resulted in a profit of Rs 72 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to a loss of Rs 68 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal basis, it turned profitable and reported a net profit of Rs 162 crore in FY25 as compared to a loss of Rs 249 crore in FY24. However, its employee benefit expenses declined sharply by 33% to Rs 40 crore in FY25 from Rs 60 crore in FY24. Depreciation, finance costs, and professional fees collectively added another Rs 32.5 crore while other expenses, covering logistics, store operations, and miscellaneous overheads, rose 14.5% to Rs 169.5 crore. Overall, Ripple’s total expenses increased 12% to Rs 1,260 crore in FY25. Ripplr posted a loss of Rs 91 crore in FY25, almost identical to Rs 90 crore it lost in FY24. The firm’s ROCE and EBITDA margin improved slightly to -30% and -5.88% respectively. On a unit level, Ripplr spent Rs 1.08 to earn a rupee of operating revenue in FY25, compared to Rs 1.10 in the previous fiscal. The Bengaluru-based firm recorded cash and bank balances of Rs 63 crore, while current assets rose to Rs 381 crore in FY25. Ripplr is reportedly in discussions to raise Rs 400 crore from SBI and existing investors. Before this, the company raised over $45 million. Yulu’s operating revenue jumped 98% year-on-year to Rs 237.4 crore in FY25 from Rs 120 crore in FY24, according to its consolidated financial statements filed with the Registrar of Companies (RoC). Eight-year-old Yulu offers last-mile connectivity by renting electric bikes and operating an extensive EV charging and battery-swapping network. The company provides urban Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) across Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi-NCR. Rental income from electric vehicles remained Yulu’s dominant revenue driver, forming nearly 85% of its operating revenue at Rs 201 crore in FY25. Sales of electric bikes and accessories contributed another Rs 22.67 crore. The company also earned Rs 13.24 crore by supplying riders, field staff, and other manpower services to clients. The rest of its operating income came from franchise operations and delivery-related services. The company also earned Rs 4.53 crore from interest on fixed deposits, current investments and dividend income, taking its total revenue to Rs 241.9 crore. On the expense side, the cost of materials was the largest cost centre, accounting for 43.23% of total expenses which rose 53% to Rs 151.56 crore in FY25. Employee benefits expenses remained flat at Rs 88.43 crore including Rs 9.35 crore in ESOP costs, while depreciation and amortisation surged over 70% to Rs 66 crore. Other overheads, including advertising expenses, rent, and legal and professional fees, pushed total expenses to Rs 350.6 crore in the last fiscal year, marking a 36% jump from Rs 258.3 crore in FY24. Coming to the bottom line, the Bajaj-backed company’s 98% jump in revenue enabled it to trim losses by 12% to Rs 126 crore in FY25, compared to Rs 142.8 crore in FY24. Yulu’s EBITDA margin improved to –15.29% from –80.11% in FY24, while EBITDA (loss) stood at Rs 36 crore. On a unit level, the company spent Rs 1.48 to earn a rupee of operating revenue. The company’s current assets stood at Rs 101.95 crore at the end of March 2025. Notably, its cash and bank balance fell 93% to Rs 9.65 crore during the period, down from Rs 142.7 crore in FY24. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, the Bengaluru-based company has raised over $140 million to date, including $19.25 million secured in February last year from Magna and Bajaj Auto.

The company also made Rs 16 crore from interest income which took its overall revenue to Rs 188 crore in Q3 FY26, compared to Rs 123 crore in Q3 FY25. Looking at the expenses, the employee benefit cost accounted for 29% of the overall expenditure which increased by 16% year-on-year to Rs 40.5 crore in Q3 FY26 from Rs 35 crore in Q3 FY25. Depreciation and other operating expenses drove total expenditure to Rs 142 crore in Q3 FY26, compared to Rs 93 crore in the same quarter last year. Blackbuck registered a profit of Rs 32 crore in Q3 FY26, as compared to a loss of Rs 48 crore in Q3 FY25. On a quarterly basis, the company’s profit increased 10% from Rs 29 crore in Q2 FY26. BlackBuck's chairman and CEO, Rajesh Kumar Naidu Yabaji, sold 20 lakh shares (9.37% of his holding) in a Rs 135 crore bulk deal in the third quarter. This transaction reduced his stake in the logistics marketplace from 11.81% to 10.7% of the 18.07 crore total equity base. Currently, Blackbuck’s share price is trading at Rs 618, giving the company a market capitalization of Rs 11,196 crore ($1.2 billion).

The remaining 14% came from lease rentals, which stood at Rs 19 crore during the same period. Including other non-operating activities such as treasury gains, its total income rose marginally to Rs 144 crore during FY25. Innoviti’s total expenses grew 15% to Rs 207 crore in FY25 from Rs 180 crore a year ago, largely guided by a sharp increase in subvention and service fees which accounted for 40% of the total cost. This cost surged 88% to Rs 82.5 crore in FY25 from Rs 44 crore in FY24. Employee benefit expenses, however, declined 19% to Rs 43 crore in FY25 from Rs 53 crore in FY24. On the other hand, depreciation costs rose 32% YoY to Rs 33 crore from Rs 25 crore in FY24. Other expenses, sub-contractor charges and overheads added the rest Rs 49 crore. In the end, Innoviti narrowed its net loss by 11% to Rs 62 crore in FY25, against Rs 70 crore in FY24. The company’s EBITDA loss stood at Rs 26 crore with EBITDA margin improving to -18.2% from -32.1%. Its ROCE margin stood at -62.77% in the same period. On the balance sheet front, Innoviti’s total assets remained stable at Rs 128 crore, with current assets of Rs 100 crore in FY25, including Rs 41 crore in cash and bank balances. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Innoviti has raised a total of $158 million of funding till date, having Bessemer Venture Partners and FMO as its lead investors. The Noida-based company’s founder Rajeev Agrawal owns 10% of the company. Earlier this year, Agrawal said the company aimed to achieve operating profitability within the next two quarters. He also mentioned that IPO planning had begun, with a target to go public within the next 12 months.
