Ripplr reports Rs 91 Cr loss on Rs 1,164 Cr GMV in FY25 Distribution and supply chain platform Ripplr posted nearly three-fold GMV growth in FY24. However, its growth momentum slowed sharply as it barely achieved double-digit growth in the last fiscal year. Ripplrโ€™s gross revenue grew by 13% to Rs 1,164 crore in FY25 from Rs 1,028 crore in FY24, according to its annual financial statement. For the uninitiated, Ripplr offers a plug-and-play distribution network as a service to digitize and manage brand operations. Goods sales accounted for 92% of Ripplr's total gross revenue, which increased by 14% year-on-year to Rs 1,068 crore in FY25. Income from logistics and warehousing were other revenue drivers for the 3One4 Capital-backed firm. Cost of materials remained the largest expense for the company which formed nearly 81% of total expenditure and rose 14.5% to Rs 1,018 crore in FY25 from Rs 889 crore in FY24. However, its employee benefit expenses declined sharply by 33% to Rs 40 crore in FY25 from Rs 60 crore in FY24. Depreciation, finance costs, and professional fees collectively added another Rs 32.5 crore while other expenses, covering logistics, store operations, and miscellaneous overheads, rose 14.5% to Rs 169.5 crore. Overall, Rippleโ€™s total expenses increased 12% to Rs 1,260 crore in FY25. Ripplr posted a loss of Rs 91 crore in FY25, almost identical to Rs 90 crore it lost in FY24. The firmโ€™s ROCE and EBITDA margin improved slightly to -30% and -5.88% respectively. On a unit level, Ripplr spent Rs 1.08 to earn a rupee of operating revenue in FY25, compared to Rs 1.10 in the previous fiscal. The Bengaluru-based firm recorded cash and bank balances of Rs 63 crore, while current assets rose to Rs 381 crore in FY25. Ripplr is reportedly in discussions to raise Rs 400 crore from SBI and existing investors. Before this, the company raised over $45 million. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Sojitz Corporation and 3One4 Capital are their notable investors.

The sale of these goods accounted for 98% of its income, which increased by 20% year-on-year to Rs 657 crore in FY25 from Rs 549 crore in FY24. The companyโ€™s largest expense was the cost of materials, which accounted for 75% of the total cost. This expense rose 18% to Rs 551 crore in FY25 from Rs 467 crore in FY24. On the other hand, employee benefit expenses decreased 13% to Rs 69 crore in FY25 from Rs 79 crore in FY24. While legal and professional fees rose 41% to Rs 38 crore, finance costs more than doubled to Rs 14.5 crore. Other expenses added the remaining Rs 51.5 crore, pushing total costs to Rs 731 crore in FY25. In the end, GenieMode managed to cut its loss by 35% to Rs 51 crore in FY25 from Rs 78 crore in FY24. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin stood at -10.76% and -7.58%, respectively. On a unit basis, the company spent Rs 1.09 to earn a rupee of operating revenue in the last fiscal year. On a balance sheet front, the Gurugram-based company recorded total assets of Rs 690.5 crore in FY25 while current assets were Rs 544 crore including Rs 42 crore in cash and bank balances. According to TheKredible, GenieMode has raised $92 million of funding till date, having Info Edge, Tiger Global and Multiples Equity as its lead investors. The companyโ€™s co-founders Amit Sharma and Tanuj Gangwani own 39% of the company.

MobiKwikโ€™s revenue from operations increased to Rs 269 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 229 crore in Q3 FY24, its consolidated financial statements accessed from the National Stock Exchange (NSE) show. However, Mobikwik's earnings were reduced by 7.6% in Q3 FY25, compared to Rs 291 crore in Q2 FY25. MobiKwik's primary revenue sources in Q3 FY25 were commissions on recharges, processing, and interest on servicing loans, payment gateways, and technology platforms. However, the company did not provide an income breakdown in its quarterly report. Notably, Mobikwik's payment business grew 166% in Q3 FY25 to Rs 196.5 crore. According to the press release, MobiKwik's registered user base has grown to 167 million with 5 million merchants. The companyโ€™s payment of GMV has also increased by 2X year-on-year to Rs 29,400 crore. On the cost side, expenditures on the payment gateway were the largest cost center, accounting for 45.4% of the overall cost, which stood at Rs 144 crore in Q3 FY25. The cost of employee benefits and lending fees was recorded at Rs 44 crore and Rs 25 crore, respectively. Its financial guarantee, legal, advertising, finance, and other overheads took its total expenditure up by 44.1% to Rs 317 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 220 crore in Q3 FY24. In the end, Mobikwik reported a net loss of Rs 55.2 crore in Q3FY25, compared to a profit of Rs 5.1 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. During the first nine months of the ongoing fiscal year, its bottom line is negative at Rs 65.4 crore. Mobikwik made its debut on the stock exchange last Dec 24 with an impressive 59% premium on its issue price on the first day of its listing. The company is currently trading at Rs 406.75 (as of 14:25) with a total market capitalization of Rs 3,160 crore or (approximately $376 million).

Furlenco provides furniture and home decor for rent along with relocation services. Income from furniture rental services accounted for 91% of the operating revenue, which grew by 61% to Rs 208 crore in FY25. Income from the sale of products (furniture including sofas and beds), more than doubled to Rs 21 crore during the fiscal year ending March 2025. Including other non-operating activities such as treasury gains of Rs 11 crore, its total income rose to Rs 240 crore in FY25. The company streamlined its cost structure and reduced its total expense by 16% to Rs 237 crore in FY25 from Rs 282 crore in FY24. Employee benefits expenses decreased by 35% year-on-year to Rs 31 crore in FY25, while finance costs dropped 41% to Rs 19 crore in FY25. Cost of material, however, rose 33% to Rs 8 crore in FY25. Depreciation on the companyโ€™s furniture rose 29% to Rs 45 crore in FY25 from Rs 35 crore in FY24. With strong revenue growth and lower burn, Furlenco turned profitable and posted a profit of Rs 3 crore in FY25, in contrast to a loss of Rs 130 crore in FY24. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin improved significantly to 5.68% and 24.45%, respectively. On a per-unit basis, the firm spent Rs 1.03 to earn every rupee of operating revenue, compared to Rs 2.03 in FY24. Furlencoโ€™s current assets stood at Rs 106 crore, including cash and bank balances of Rs 32 crore in FY25. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Furlenco has raised a total of $298 m in funding till date, with Sheela Foam and Lightbox Ventures as its lead investors. The companyโ€™s founder and chief executive, Ajith Mohan Karimpana owns 12% of the company. Furlenco certainly seems to have discovered a better playbook for its business, because numbers like these looked unlikely till last year. While the concept has certainly found takers, operating costs had been too high to offer hope of such a turnaround. So credit to the team for having pulled it off.

The remaining 14% came from lease rentals, which stood at Rs 19 crore during the same period. Including other non-operating activities such as treasury gains, its total income rose marginally to Rs 144 crore during FY25. Innovitiโ€™s total expenses grew 15% to Rs 207 crore in FY25 from Rs 180 crore a year ago, largely guided by a sharp increase in subvention and service fees which accounted for 40% of the total cost. This cost surged 88% to Rs 82.5 crore in FY25 from Rs 44 crore in FY24. Employee benefit expenses, however, declined 19% to Rs 43 crore in FY25 from Rs 53 crore in FY24. On the other hand, depreciation costs rose 32% YoY to Rs 33 crore from Rs 25 crore in FY24. Other expenses, sub-contractor charges and overheads added the rest Rs 49 crore. In the end, Innoviti narrowed its net loss by 11% to Rs 62 crore in FY25, against Rs 70 crore in FY24. The companyโ€™s EBITDA loss stood at Rs 26 crore with EBITDA margin improving to -18.2% from -32.1%. Its ROCE margin stood at -62.77% in the same period. On the balance sheet front, Innovitiโ€™s total assets remained stable at Rs 128 crore, with current assets of Rs 100 crore in FY25, including Rs 41 crore in cash and bank balances. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Innoviti has raised a total of $158 million of funding till date, having Bessemer Venture Partners and FMO as its lead investors. The Noida-based companyโ€™s founder Rajeev Agrawal owns 10% of the company. Earlier this year, Agrawal said the company aimed to achieve operating profitability within the next two quarters. He also mentioned that IPO planning had begun, with a target to go public within the next 12 months.

For the full fiscal year (FY25), Delhiveryโ€™s operating revenue increased 10% to Rs 8,932 crore in FY25 from Rs 8,141 crore in FY24. Delhivery's primary revenue sources were its logistics services, including warehousing, last-mile logistics, and designing and deploying logistics management systems. The firm also earned Rs 112 crore from non-operating activities, bringing its total revenue to Rs 2,303 crore in Q4 FY25. Meanwhile, for the full fiscal year, total income reached Rs 9,372 crore. For Delhivery, freight handling and servicing costs made up 70% of its total expenditure, rising by 3% to Rs 1,566 crore in Q4 FY25. Employee benefit expenses decreased by 6% to Rs 337 crore. Legal, depreciation, and other overhead costs contributed to a minor decrease in overall expenditure, which reached Rs 2,249 crore during the quarter. For the full financial year ending March 2025, the firmโ€™s total expenses rose to Rs 9,217 crore as against Rs 8,825 crore in FY24. Delhivery's continued growth and controlled expenditure resulted in a profit of Rs 72 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to a loss of Rs 68 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal basis, it turned profitable and reported a net profit of Rs 162 crore in FY25 as compared to a loss of Rs 249 crore in FY24. At the close of todayโ€™s trading session, Delhiveryโ€™s share price stood at Rs 321 per share, giving the company a market capitalization of Rs 23,957 crore.

Fintech firm Paytm announced its financial results for the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year (Q4 FY25) on Tuesday. The Noida-based company reported a revenue of Rs 1,911 crore and a net loss of Rs 23 crore for the period. According to Paytmโ€™s consolidated quarterly report filed with the National Stock Exchange, its revenue from operations declined by 16% year-on-year from Rs 2,267 crore in Q4 FY24 to Rs 1,911 crore in Q4 FY25. Meanwhile, for the full fiscal year, the Noida-based firmโ€™s revenue fell 31% to Rs 6,900 crore in the fiscal year ending March 2025 from Rs 9,977 crore in FY24. Paytm has not disclosed its revenue breakup. The company also added Rs 224 crore from other non-operating sources, bringing its overall revenue to Rs 2,135 crore in Q4 FY25. According to the company, its Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) for the quarter stood at Rs 5.1 Lakh crore, while its average monthly transacting users (MTUs) increased to 7.2 crore in the previous quarter. For the fintech firm, its employee benefits remained the largest cost center, accounting for 35% of the overall cost, which decreased by 32% to Rs 748 crore in Q4 FY25. Its payment processing charges reduced by 27% to Rs 52 crore, and marketing expenses increased by 10% to Rs 142 crore in Q4 FY25. Software, communication, legal, cashback, and other overheads took the total expenditure to Rs 2,155 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 2,691 crore in Q4 FY24. Paytm reduced its losses by 96% to Rs 23 crore in Q4 FY25, down from Rs 536 crore in Q4 FY24. This figure excludes a one-time cost of Rs 522 crore, which includes Rs 492 crore in ESOP expenses and Rs 17 crore in transaction costs related to the sale of its movie ticketing business. As of May 6, Paytmโ€™s share price fell over 6% to Rs 816 with the total market capitalization standing at Rs 52,082 crore.

It services over 80,000 tier 2-based retailers having partnerships with FMCG brands like HUL, Britannia, ITC, Nestle, Mondelez, Colgate Reckitt Benckiser, Godrej, Dabur, and Nivea, among others. Online beauty and fashion platform Nykaa has managed to improve its topline in the last quarter over Q4 FY24. Its revenue from operations grew 4.7% in the first quarter of the ongoing fiscal year whereas the firmโ€™s profit spiked 51% during the same period. Nykaaโ€™s revenue from operations increased to Rs 1,746 crore in Q1 FY25 from Rs 1,668 crore in Q4FY24, its unaudited consolidated financial statements sourced from National Stock Exchange show. The beauty segment comprised 91% of the total income while fashion accounted for 8.4% to the companyโ€™s coffers. At the same time, its gross merchandise value (GMV) stood at Rs 3,321 crore in Q1 FY25. In the last quarter, Nykaa processed 12.4 million orders in the beauty segment and 1.7 million from the fashion vertical. The average order value stood at Rs 1,924 for beauty and Rs 1,237 for fashion. For Nykaa, the cost of materials formed 57.2% of the overall expenditure which increased to Rs 990 crore in Q1 FY25. The firmโ€™s spending on employee benefits, finance, marketing, technology, and other overheads pushed its total cost to Rs 1,731 crore in Q1 FY25. The marginal growth in its scale enabled Nykaa to book an over 50% jump in its profit to Rs 13.6 crore in Q1 FY25 from Rs 9 crore in Q4 FY24. Nykaa also increased its stake in its subsidiary Dot & Key to 90% with an additional consideration of Rs 265.3 crore. Importantly, the Falguni Nayar-led company also increased its stake in Earth Rhythm making it a subsidiary company with an undisclosed investment. The Mumbai-based company is currently trading at Rs 188 (as of Aug 13), with a total market capitalization of Rs 53,697 crore ($6.7 billion).
