Repello raises $1.2 Mn seed round led by Venture Highway and others

Artificial intelligence-driven cybersecurity startup Repello has raised $1.2 million in a seed round led by Venture Highway, Pi Ventures, and Entrepreneur First, with participation from notable angel investors such as Meta board member Charles Songhurst, Sarvam AI CEO Vivek Raghavan, and Satya Vas. The proceeds will be used towards enhancing product capabilities, deepening research in offensive testing simulations, and ramping up global outreach. Launched in 2024 by Aryaman Behera and Naman Mishra, Repello is focused on safeguarding generative AI platforms against evolving attack vectors. While its development and innovation teams are based in Bengaluru, the startup operates its commercial and customer-facing units from San Francisco. Repello’s main product, ARTEMIS (Automated Red Teaming Engine for Mapping, Identification, and Scanning), runs large-scale simulated attack scenarios across text, visual, and audio layers to detect vulnerabilities in GenAI systems. Alongside ARTEMIS, the startup offers Repello Guard, a live security framework that monitors AI models during deployment, flagging threats such as prompt injections, inappropriate content, and leakage of sensitive data. With North America being its most active market due to rapid AI adoption, the company is also seeing traction from regions like the Middle East, underscoring its expanding international footprint.
