The Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) has reduced the monthly limit for financial assistance that network participants can seek, while also planning to introduce a network fee for seller apps. The cap for financial incentives has been reduced to Rs 40 lakh for December, and Rs 30 lakh for network participants with over 1 million orders per month. ONDC aims to become self-sustaining and plans to charge a network infrastructure fee of Rs 1.50 per transaction above Rs 250 from January. The network has facilitated 142 million transactions since its inception.
