Ola’s AI venture, Krutrim, is collaborating with Lenovo to develop Krutrim 3, a 700-billion-parameter large language model and build India’s largest supercomputer. Supported by a Rs 2,000 crore investment, potentially rising to Rs 10,000 crore, Ola aims to advance India’s AI capabilities. The initiative addresses the lack of local hyperscale infrastructure and sovereign cloud. Krutrim also plans to introduce its first AI chip in 2026, aiming to enhance national AI sovereignty and infrastructure.
