Number of non-farm firms grew 13% to 7.3 crore: Govt survey | Company Business News

The number of non-farm businesses in India, including proprietorships, partnerships, and self-help groups, increased by 12.84% to 7.34 crore, according to the Union statistics ministry. This growth reflects the recovery and resurgence of the unincorporated non-agricultural sector from the challenges posed by the pandemic. The survey also highlighted a robust labor market growth, with 12 crore people employed by these enterprises during the survey period. Additionally, the share of women-owned businesses increased, indicating a positive shift in female business ownership. The statistics ministry's survey results suggest improvements in wage levels and the overall state of the economy.
