The company plans to use the funds to establish a manufacturing facility, enhance certification programs, and expand engineering, testing, and MRO capabilities for UAV manufacturers and global aerospace clients. Founded in 2019 by Rama Kandula and Murali Krishnan, Misochain focuses on developing indigenous aircraft components, reducing India's dependency on imports. Its product line includes air data probes, actuators, vibration isolation systems, and solenoid valves used in aircraft systems. Misochain employs a capital-efficient manufacturing model, outsourcing precision machining while handling design, assembly, testing, certification, and IP internally. The startup is part of MaXcel, an accelerator run by Capital-A and SanchiConnect.

Aerospace components manufacturer JJG Aero has raised $30 million in a funding round led by Norwest, marking the venture capital firm’s first investment in aerospace components manufacturing in India. The Bengaluru-based company had previously raised $12 million in a Series A round from CX Partners in April 2024. According to the company, the funds will be used to set up a 200,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in North Bengaluru, expand capacity at existing plants, and invest in advanced processes and sub assemblies. Founded in 2008 by Anuj Jhunjhunwala, JJG Aero manufactures high precision aerospace, automotive, and industrial components and offers build to print machining and special processing services to global OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, including Collins Aerospace, Safran, and GE. Market research indicates that India accounts for less than 2% of the global aerospace components market. JJG Aero’s product portfolio includes precision machined parts, bushes and washers, brackets, manifolds, landing system components, actuators, fluid systems, and avionics. The company operates over 100 machines across 60,000 sq ft of manufacturing space at facilities in Bommasandra and Jigani near Bengaluru. In the same segment, rival startup Jeh Aerospace raised $11 million in August last year in a funding round led by Elevation Capital. Its early backers also include General Catalyst and IndiGo Ventures.

The startup aspires to become a next-generation defence and aerospace innovator. The Bengaluru-based startup aims to empower defense with precision and safety and to pioneer tomorrow's warheads for global security. It is committed to providing services that exceed client expectations and help them achieve their business goals. It focuses on research, design, development, and production of new generation weapon systems for current and future warfare. Priyanka Singhal, founder of Ammunic Systems, said, “This investment from India Accelerator is not just capital; it is a vote of confidence in a mission we have poured our hearts into. At Ammunic Systems, we are not just building defence technologies; we are building belief — that India can lead from the front in securing its own future."
