Louisa AI picks up $5 Mn from clutch of investors

Sales enablement platform Louisa AI has picked up $5 million in its maiden funding round co-led by Oxford University’s investment arms, Palm Drive VC, Evolution VC, Nucleus VC, Gaingels along with the participation of ex-Goldman Sachs partners, US-based venture capitalist Sandiip Bhammer, and others. The proceeds will be deployed towards improving its technology design and refining products among others, Louisa said in a press release. The firm originated and conceptualized at Goldman Sachs but it was spun out as an independent entity in 2023. It eliminates conflicts of interest and provides unbiased and effective connections to gather collaborative intelligence for efficient and better sales mechanisms. Founded by former Goldman Sach managing director Rohan Doctor, Louisa AI leverages network effects, transforming sales enablement and deal-making across industries including asset management, banking, financial infrastructure, private markets and technology among others. According to its website, the company has over 50,000 users and its products are being used by Goldman Sach and Insight Partners.

Wealthtech startup Stable Money has raised over Rs 123 crore nearly $15 million in a new round from RTP Capital, Lightspeed India, and Matrix Partner. The Bengaluru-based company has become one of the few startups to close two rounds within a year, especially during the so called funding winter. The board at Stable Money has passed a special resolution to issue 77,135 CCPS at price of Rs 16,019 each to raise Rs 123.56 crore or $14.74 million, its regulatory filing accessed from the Registrar of Companies (ROC) shows. RTP Capital led the round with Rs 54.26 crore ($6.5 million) while Lightspeed India and Matrix Partners India pumped in Rs 34.64 crore ($4.15 million) each in this round. In August 2023, Stable Money scooped up $5 million in its first equity fundraise led by Matrix Partners and Lightspeed. Titan Capital, Mar Shot Ventures and a clutch of prominent angel investors also participated in the round. As per startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Stable Money will be valued at around $60 million post money. This is nearly four fold jump in valuation from $16.5 million in the last round. Founded in late 2022 by Saurabh Jain and Harish Reddy, Stable Money is building a fixed-return investment platform to provide financial consultation services to investors. The platform will also publish financial literacy content on its online platform to create awareness among investors. A clutch of wealthtech startups have managed to score decent funding in the ongoing calendar year. Recently Deserv raked in $32 million in its Series B round led by Premji Invest. In May, wealth management platform Wealthy raised $5.4 million in a new round led by Alpha Wave Incubation Fund.

CureSkin, a beauty and personal care brand, has raised $20 million in a Series B funding round led by Healthquad. The round also saw participation from JSW Ventures, Khosla Ventures, and Sharrp Ventures. The company has raised $26 million to date including a $5 million Series A in March 2022. It was a part of Y Combinator Summer Batch in 2017. The new funds will be utilised to enhance AI capabilities further and broaden its range of solution offerings, CureSkin said in a press release. Founded in 2017 by Guna Kakulapati, Ramakrishna Rajanna and Dr Charu Sharma, CureSkin uses tech to analyze users’ skin conditions such as acne, hyperpigmentation, and hair loss with high accuracy and recommends a personalized treatment kit and care plan. The Bengaluru-based company has helped over 1.5 million users and uses more than 10 million skin pixels to determine up to 2,000 facial attributes to understand the concerns of users. Cureskin also said that about 80% of the company’s existing users are in tier II and III cities. Cureskin registered Rs 35.46 crore in revenue from operations in FY23 against Rs 2.57 crore in total revenue in FY22, according to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible. During the period, its losses also jumped to Rs 28 crore from Rs 2.57 crore. As of Series A round, the company’s chief executive Kakulapati had 28% stake in the firm followed by Rajanna who held 12% of the company. Among the investors, JSW Ventures had 10.4% stake whereas Khosla Ventures acquired 8% in the firm during the last round. Check TheKredible for more details. Flipkart announces new ESOP liquidity worth $50 Mn This announcement follows Flipkart’s record $700 million payout to employees in 2023, one of the largest ESOP buyback events in Indian startup history. Flipkart has announced a fresh ESOP (Employee Stock Option Plan) liquidity opportunity for its employees, according to an internal note from the company’s chief executive officer Kalyan Krishnamurthy. As per the note, eligible employees will be allowed to liquidate up to 5% of their vested ESOPs as of July 5, 2025, at a buyback price of $174.32 per option. Payouts will be made in August 2025 under the Flipkart Stock Option Plan 2012. An ET report estimates the size of the ESOP buyback at $50 million, with 7,000 to 7,500 employees expected to benefit from the liquidity program. Flipkart is currently valued at around $36 billion. Krishnamurthy also added that if key performance goals are met by the end of 2025, another 5% liquidity window could open in early 2026. A Flipkart spokesperson confirmed the development to Entrackr. This announcement follows Flipkart’s record $700 million payout to employees in 2023, one of the largest ESOP buyback events in Indian startup history. Media reports indicate the firm plans to launch its IPO with a valuation of $60-$70 billion. The company’s board has already approved the process to shift its holding structure from Singapore to India. In 2025, a clutch of startups including Darwinbox, Rapido, Univest, Deserve, and Even Healthcare have implemented ESOP buyback, liquidity, and payout programs worth around $67 million. In 2024, more than 20 startups implemented $200 million. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, the ESOP buyback or liquidity amount stood at $802 million in 2023, $440 million in 2021, and $200 million in 2022.
