HR technology platform Umwelt.AI has secured $125K in a seed funding round led by Upekkha. The proceeds will be allocated towards expanding its global footprint and delivering impactful solutions to organizations across various industries, Umwelt said in a press release. The company had earlier raised $125,000 in a pre-seed round from its existing investor last year. Launched in 2023 by Vishal Chopra, Umwelt.Ai offers people analytics and employee experience solution that goes beyond traditional HR approaches. It helps other organizations to improve their employee net promoter score (ENPS) and employee response rates, resulting in a more engaged workforce. According to the Faridabad-based company, it utilizes behavioral science, chatBot technology, and advanced analytics to enable CEOs and HR leaders to listen, analyze, and act on employee feedback in real-time. The platform measures indicators such as mood, engagement, and risk of attrition, allowing companies to address issues before they escalate. Through predictive analytics, it has reduced early attrition rates, leading to cost savings and improved talent retention. Umwelt claims to have served companies like Quess Corp, Vero Moda, Jack & Jones, Foundit, and Allsec BPO. It competes with the other startups in this space such as Amara.ai, infeedo, Leena.AI and others.

Upraised, an HRtech startup based in Kolkata, has secured a funding round of Rs 25 lakh, led by UK-based Pontaq VC and facilitated through the Next Generation Incubation Scheme by Software Technology Park of India (NGIS-STPI). The funding will enable Upraised to enter the US and UK markets, enhance its technology infrastructure, hire new talent, and bolster its marketing efforts. Established in 2021 by Debarya Dutta, Upraised utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to provide cognitive and aptitude assessments, aligning candidates with suitable job roles. Their machine learning algorithm matches candidates' strengths to relevant projects. Before this, the startup received funding from Pilani Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Society (PIEDS) and the Nidhi entrepreneurship-in-residence (EIR) grant from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, through IIM-Udaipur Incubation Centre.
