GVFL leads $2 Mn pre Series A round in Protouch Protouch has raised $2 million in a pre-Series A round led by GVFL, with participation from Ennission India Capital and Anicut Capital. The company is valued at $10 million post this round. The proceeds will be used to expand the product portfolio, invest in R&D, and scale online and offline distribution. Founded in 2022 by Tanisha Lakhani, Protouch operates in the beauty and personal care appliances segment. It sells haircare, skincare and grooming devices that enable at-home usage for consumers. Its products include an automatic hair multi-styler using airflow technology, LED-based devices for skin and hair, and a dual-sided trimmer. Protouch has developed devices for Indian hair and skin types. The brand claims to have served over 200,000 customers and has expanded to the Middle East. It has recorded 15x revenue growth in 30 months and operates profitably. Protouch plans to introduce new products in haircare and skincare and set up a manufacturing unit over the next few years. Protouch competes with appliance and beauty tech brands such as Dyson, Philips, Vega, Havells, BeautIQ, Agaro, and imported direct-to-consumer beauty tech devices. Its positioning is between low-priced mass appliances and higher-priced international brands. Over the next three to five years, Protouch targets wider category expansion and higher household penetration in the beauty appliance segment.

GVFL has invested Rs 10 crore in the round, while Auxano Capital and the promoters have participated in the investment round. Prior to this, the Gurugram-based company had raised $3.31 million in a seed funding round from Venture Catalysts. The proceeds will be utilised to accelerate growth, enhance platform technology, and expand international operations, DCG said in a press release. Co-founded in 2005 by Suresh Bansal and Subhasish Chakraborty, DCG Tech addresses the packaging needs of MSMEs, e-commerce and quick-commerce brands by offering them a one-stop, cost-effective solution. The firm’s solutions, such as Design to Distribution, Packaging as a Service, EcoPac for Sustainable Packaging, and the ProPac Platform, aim to bring efficiency and cost-effectiveness to businesses of all sizes. With over 60,000 customers and 750 million packaging products delivered, DCG claims to have presence through eight fulfilment centres, six sales offices, and a Design and Innovation Centre. It also has a subsidiary in Dubai. “With the backing of GVFL and other investors, and our roadmap of smart manufacturing, AI-based technology, and sustainable packaging solutions, we are poised to lead the next phase of growth in the B2B commerce space. Our goal is to become India’s most preferred packaging and commerce platform for businesses,” said Suresh Bansal, founder & CEO of DCG. DCG states that it offers a tech-enabled, end-to-end procurement and distribution platform that provides over 10,000 SKUs across 78 categories.

Pravega Ventures leads $3 Mn pre-Series A round in Constelli Aerospace and defence tech startup Constelli has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Pravega Ventures. This is the company's first institutional funding round. The proceeds will be deployed towards capital expenditure and research and development (R&D) of new products, Constelli said in a press release. Co-founded in 2017 by Satya Gopal Panigrahi and Avinash Chenreddy, Constelli specializes in developing advanced signal processing solutions and tools that enhance the design, development, and testing of critical aerospace and defence systems. According to the Hyderabad-based company, it leverages modern technologies and advancements in hardware and software, modeling and simulation, and distributed computing to achieve transformation. The company focuses on enhancing technical sophistication and expediting the development lifecycle of payloads for airborne and ground defence platforms. Constelli says that its products and services are used globally by organizations developing radar and electronic warfare (EW) systems. The company claims that it serves India's Ministry of Defence, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), and defence contractors in South Korea, Australia, and Singapore. The other notable players in this space are NewSpace Research & Technologies, IdeaForge, Garuda Aerospace, and others.
