Google announced updates to its AI assistant, Google Bard, including integration with Google apps like Gmail and Docs, as well as a "double-check" feature to verify Bard's answers against web content. The new "double-check button" helps combat inaccuracies by allowing users to click on the "G" icon and verify Bard's response with web results. Google also introduced Bard Extensions, enabling the AI assistant to draw information from services like Google Drive and provide real-time flight and hotel information. Privacy concerns regarding sensitive information have been addressed, with content from Gmail, Docs, and Drive not viewed by humans or used for training.
