Google has announced updates to its AI assistant, Google Bard, including integration with Google apps like Gmail and Google Drive, as well as a "double-check" feature to verify Bard's answers against web content. The new feature aims to address inaccuracies and hallucinations in Bard's responses. Additionally, the updates introduce Bard Extensions, which allow the assistant to pull information from other Google services, like summarizing documents or suggesting YouTube videos. Privacy concerns are addressed by assuring that content from Gmail, Docs, and Drive will not be viewed by humans or used for ads or training.
