Earlier in June 2024, Go Zero raised $1.5 million in its follow-on pre-Series A funding round from DSG Consumer Partners, Saama, and V3 Ventures. The proceeds will be used to fuel supply chain expansion, innovation in product offerings, and brand growth as Go Zero continues its expansion on quick-commerce platforms in tier I and tier II markets. Founded by Kiran Shah, Go Zero has a diversified product portfolio featuring low-calorie, high-protein, and vegan ice creams. The startup claims that all its products are sweetened with plant-based sweeteners, which are low in calories. Since its inception in July 2022, Go Zero claims to have offer 100% sugar-free products with 50% fewer calories than traditional ice creams. The brand has achieved 5X revenue growth in its second year and 3X in the third. Despite January being the off-season for ice cream sales, Go Zero recorded its highest-ever sales in January 2025, crossing Rs 5 crore in revenue. With a strong presence across Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, Go Zero is also set to launch new guilt-free formats, including kulfi sticks and cassata. The firm currently operates two manufacturing units in Mumbai and Bangalore. Go Zero competes with Hangyo Ice Cream, Hocco, and NIC. In 2023, NIC raised $11 million in a funding round led by Jungle Ventures, while Hocco also secured $12 million from the Chona family and other investors. Meanwhile, Hangyo Ice Cream secured India's largest venture funding for an ice cream brand, raising $25 million from Faering Capital in August last year.

The proceeds will be used to grow enterprise adoption, expand product capabilities, and strengthen go-to-market efforts across financial institutions. Co-founded by Rohit Taneja and Pratik Daudkhane, Decentro’s offerings cover consumer and business verification, payment infrastructure for collections and disbursals, and AI-driven debt recovery systems. The API banking platform, which processes over Rs 50,000 crore in annual payment volumes, plans to shift its parent entity from Singapore to India within the next 12 to 18 months. The company claims to be profitable and serves more than 1,300 businesses including NBFCs, digital lenders, banks, and fintech firms. Recently, it launched Scanner, a real-time risk assessment engine, and Neobot, a multilingual AI voice agent focused on debt collections. As per TheKredible, Decentro reported a 47% year-on-year increase in operating revenue to Rs 17.7 crore in FY24 from Rs 12 crore in FY23. However, the company slipped into a loss of Rs 2.46 crore during the same period, after posting a profit in the previous fiscal.

Exclusive: Oxyzo secures Rs 100 Cr debt Fintech unicorn Oxyzo has secured Rs 100 crore (approximately $12 million) in debt from AK Capital Finance, a subsidiary of merchant banker A.K. Capital Services Ltd. The boards at Oxyzo allotted 1,00,000 non-convertible debentures to AK Capital at an issue price of Rs 10,000 each to raise Rs 100 crore, its regulatory filing sourced from the Registrar of Companies shows. The aforementioned debentures are issued for a tenure of 24 months and carry an interest rate of 9.75% per annum, the filing added. The proceeds will be used to augment the long-term resources of the company and meet working capital requirements. Oxyzo is the lending arm of B2B e-commerce unicorn OfBusiness, providing customized credit solutions for SMEs. It offers a range of loan products, including term loans, working capital solutions, low-interest rates, and collateral-free credit options. According to data intelligence platform TheKredible, the Gurugram-based company reported operating revenue of over Rs 900 crore and a profit of Rs 290 crore for the financial year ending 2024. Oxyzo’s net profit grew 11.38% to Rs 82.89 crore and sales jumped 27.43% to Rs 282.80 crore in the quarter ended December 2024 (Q3 FY25), compared to Rs 221.93 crore in December 2023. The Ruchi Kalra-led firm achieved unicorn status by raising $200 million in its first external funding round, and it became the first startup to surpass a $1 billion valuation during its Series A round. As per TheKredible, OFB group including promoters holds 74.5% while Alpha Wave is the largest external stakeholder with 7.4% followed by Tiger Global.

MSMEs-focused fintech lender FlexiLoans has raised Rs 60 crore via non-convertible debt from Vivriti Asset Management. The fresh funds come after a gap of around 20 months for the Mumbai-based company. The board at FlexiLoans has passed a special resolution to issue 6,000 non-convertible debentures (NCDs) at an issue price of Rs 1,00,000 per debenture for a consideration of Rs 60 crore in one or more tranches, as per the company’s regulatory filings with the Registrar of Companies. The company has already received Rs 30 crore as part of the first tranche from Vivitri Emerging Corporate Bond Fund (Vivriti Asset Management). The debt has a rate of interest of 12.9% per annum with a tenure of 31 months. The company intends to utilize the funds for the ongoing business operations. Founded by Deepak Jain, Manish Lunia, Ritesh Jain and Abhishek Kothari, FlexiLoans provides MSMEs access to collateral-free funds through its digital lending platform. The company uses proprietary technology and risk models to score customers and approve loans within 48 hours. FlexiLoans has more than 120 partners including companies like Amazon, Flipkart, BharatPe, Pine Labs, and Mswipe. FlexiLoans has raised over $115 million to date via equity and debt. In June 2022, it raised $90 million in its Series B round through an equity and debt mix from Fasanara Capital, MAJ Invest, and Caravel Group chairman Harry Banga’s family office along with existing shareholders including Sanjay Nayar. FlexiLoans’ revenue from operations surged 110.7% to Rs 108.5 crore during FY23 from Rs 51.5 crore in FY22. The company generates revenue from interest on loans, loan processing fees and other financial charges. As per the startup intelligence platform TheKredible, the company also turned profitable with Rs 6.66 crore profit in FY23 against Rs 10.8 crore loss in FY22.

Premium ice cream brand Hocco has raised $10 million as the first tranche of its $20 million Series B round, co-led by promoter Chona Family Office and consumer-focused venture capital firm Sauce VC. The fresh round has come within a year for the Ahmedabad-based company. It scooped up $12 million in its Series A round from the same investors at a valuation of Rs 600 crore ($70 million). The company said the second close of the round is expected later this year. The fresh funds will be deployed towards expanding Hocco’s manufacturing capacity, strengthening distribution networks, and entering new markets across India. A portion of the capital will also be allocated to new product development and brand marketing. Founded by the Chona family — former owners of legacy ice cream brand Havmor — Hocco offers a mix of regional and globally inspired flavours across retail, QSR, and quick commerce channels. The company aims to close FY25 with Rs 500 crore in revenue. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, it reported only Rs 32.38 crore in revenue in FY24 with a Rs 20.23 crore loss. Besides legacy players such as Amul, Vadilal, and Hindustan Unilever (HUL), Hocco competes with new-age ice cream brands such as Walko Foods’ NIC, Hangyo, Go Zero, NOTO Ice Cream, among others. In February 2024, NIC raised $20 million in a new funding round led by Jungle Ventures, a year after raising $11 million led by the same investor. Last year, Hangyo raised $25 million (around Rs 211 crore) from Faering Capital. NOTO and Go Zero also announced their initial fundraises.
