Medial
About 20% of generative artificial intelligence (gen AI) proofs of concept (PoCs) in India were put into production in fiscal year 2024, according to EY India. Additionally, around 15-20% of domestic enterprises and 30-40% of global capability centers have deployed gen AI PoCs. However, scaled production deployments of use cases are still limited. It is projected that fiscal year 2025 will see more organized experiments and PoCs, leading to significant gen AI deals in the Indian IT sector. Some of the first AI agent bots are also expected to be deployed, particularly in customer service, sales, underwriting, and collection. However, challenges such as regulatory uncertainty and customer concerns about data accuracy, misinformation, bias, security, and privacy persist.
