Deeptech startup ThirdAI has raised $3 million in a seed funding round co-led by Endiya Partners and Capria Ventures. According to the company, the fresh capital will be used to scale product development, expand engineering and go-to-market teams in India and overseas, and accelerate deployments with semiconductor toolmakers and fabrication facilities. Founded in 2024 by Vivek Vishwakarma and Sainyam Galhotra, ThirdAI is an India–US–based company building a causal AI–powered platform for root cause analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting in semiconductor manufacturing. The firm works with equipment manufacturers and semiconductor fabs to reduce downtime and improve production yield. ThirdAI’s platform focuses on automating root cause analysis, a process that is largely manual in semiconductor fabs and can take several hours per incident. It uses causal AI to identify cause-and-effect relationships across equipment logs, sensor data, images, and operational records to speed up diagnosis and resolution. The startup claims that its pilot and production deployments have shown reductions in diagnostic time and improvements in accuracy compared to manual RCA processes.
