Sports-tech startup Gamepoint raises pre-Series A round Technology-enabled sports startup Gamepoint has raised Rs 7 crore in a pre-Series A funding round co-led by Zaggle founder Raj P Narayanam and Aditya Vuchi, along with participation from Praveen Raju and others. The proceeds will be used to expand its multi-sport center network and strengthen its technology and operational capabilities. Co-founded by Aditya and Siddharth Reddy, Gamepoint aims to provide convenient access to learn and play sports, operating professionally managed multi-sport centers for people of all age groups. The startup’s centers provide structured coaching programs for children, flexible membership and pay-and-play options for adults, and comprehensive sports event management solutions for corporates, delivered in a safe and hygienic environment. The Hyderabad-based startup’s centers feature international standard courts/fields, specialized coaching programs, membership plans, and on-site sports stores. It operates through a mix of owned and potentially franchised centers, targeting a "neighborhood sports center" model. Gamepoint operates a chain of multi-sport centers across Hyderabad and Warangal, featuring infrastructures for sports such as Badminton, Basketball, Pickleball, Squash, Football, Cricket, Table Tennis, and Swimming. Over the next five years, the company plans to scale to more than 300 centers across metros as well as Tier I and Tier II cities, enabling 1 crore people to play sports in India. To date, it claims to have trained over 12,000 students, enabled more than 3 lakh people to play sports, and organized more than 700 sports events. It directly or indirectly competes with other players in this space such as Premier Badminton Coaching Academy, Machaxi, KheloMore, Huddl, and others.
