Butterflies, a social network, is launching its app to the public on iOS and Android after five months in beta. The app allows users to create customizable AI personas called Butterflies, which automatically generate posts on the social network. This unique concept aims to bring more creativity to people's relationships with AI beyond simple text exchanges. During the beta phase, users spent one to three hours interacting with AIs on the app. Butterflies closed a $4.8 million seed round led by Coatue in November 2023.
