The round also saw the participation of the Ashish Goenka-led Suashish Group and angel investors such as Vijay Nehra, and Arjun Purkayastha, and early backers of brands like Mamaearth, Sugar, Pilgrim, Whole Truth, and Mokobara. Founded by Aishvarya Murali in 2023, Tuco Intelligent offers a range of natural and sustainable personal care products only for kids. The range includes soaps, lotions, creams, makeup and deodorants. All products claim to be packaged in 100% landfill and ocean-reclaimed plastic to create a greener planet for children. Tuco targets the unique personal care needs of kids aged 4-12, a demographic with growing needs at every stage. Tuco Intelligent skin products are available on the website and marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, and Firstcry. Brij Bhushan, co-founder and former chief operating officer of Magicpin, has joined early-stage venture capital firm Prime Venture Partners (PrimeVP)as a full-time venture partner. In this role, Bhushan will be a key member of the investment team and will contribute to all aspects of the firm’s investment, portfolio management and fundraising, Prime VP said in a press release. Bhushan had previously worked in venture capital as vice president at Nexus Venture Partners before co-founding magicpin. He has also worked with Bain & Co. During his tenure at Magicpin, Bhushan was instrumental in its growth, raising over $100 million from investors including Lightspeed, Zomato and Waterbridge. “.. I’m excited to return to VC, where I can help founders navigate their journeys, leveraging my experiences alongside a team that truly understands what it takes to get a company off the ground,” said Bhushan. With plans to strengthen the company’s investment and portfolio management capabilities, Prime VP has also promoted Gaurav Ranjan to principal of investments. Ranjan served PrimeVP for six years as an associate, and most recently as vice president. Led by Sanjay Swamy, Shripati Acharya, and Amit Somani, Prime VP has invested in more than 50 startups, including WheelsEye, MyGate, Quizizz, PlanetSpark, Dozee, Zuper, Niyo, OTO, Knight Fintech, Finagg, and Navadhan, among others in the past 12 years. Peeyush Ranjan, former CTO of Flipkart and ex-Google executive, has joined Mukesh Bansal’s startup incubator Meraki Labs as a partner. Ranjan will focus on advancing Meraki’s AI strategy and expanding its footprint in Silicon Valley. He will collaborate with entrepreneurs at the incubator to refine their tech and product approaches. Ranjan will also play a strategic role in shaping the AI direction of Meraki Labs. Additionally, he will join the board of Nurix AI, a startup founded by Bansal under Meraki Labs, which raised $27.5 million in seed and Series A funding from Accel and General Catalyst. Prior to Meraki Labs, Ranjan served as VP of Engineering at Google, leading AI-driven initiatives like Google Assistant.
