Exclusive: Proptech startup Truva raises $6.3 Mn at over $30 Mn valuation

Proptech startup Truva has raised over $6.32 million from existing investors Stellaris Venture Partners and Orios Venture Partners. Truva’s board has issued 54,628 Series A Compulsorily Convertible Preference Shares (CCPS) at an issue price of Rs 10,383 per share to raise a total of Rs 56.72 crore, according to its regulatory filing with the Registrar of Companies (RoC). Stellaris Venture Partners led the round with an investment of Rs 30.5 crore, followed by Orios Venture Partners, which infused Rs 26.22 crore. The fresh funds will be utilised for working capital requirements and business expansion of the company, as per the RoC filing. According to Entrackr’s estimates, Truva is valued at around Rs 284 crore ($31.60 million) on a post-money basis. Founded in 2023 by Puneet Arora, Monil Singhal and Ankit Gupta, Truva provides detailed property listings with extensive insights and support for buyers, including help with financing, paperwork, and registration. The startup also offers features such as natural light scores, noise ratings, 3D tours, and high-quality photos and videos. After the fresh allotment, Stellaris Venture Partners holds a 24.53% stake in Truva, while Orios Venture Partners owns 9.24%, respectively. The co-founders, Puneet Arora, Monil Singhal and Ankit Gupta collectively hold 54.87% stake in the company, with 18.29% each. Before this, the company had raised $3 million in a seed funding round led by early-stage venture capital firm Stellaris Venture Partners. For the year ended March 2024, Truva generated Rs 10.88 lakh in operating revenue and reported a loss of Rs 10.30 lakh, reflecting its early-stage, pre-revenue operations. The company is yet to file its financial statements for FY25.

Rooftop solar startup SolarSquare has raised $4.2 million from existing investors Zerodha’s Rainmatter Capital, Abhijeet Pai and Nikhil Kamath’s Gruhas Proptech, Lowercrabon Capital, Climate Angels and Good Capital. The board at SolarSquare has passed a special resolution to allot 7,589 Series B compulsory convertible debentures at an issue price of Rs 46,710 to raise Rs 35.44 crore, its regulatory filing shows. Lowercarbon and Good Capital invested Rs 20.74 crore and 3.32 crore while Gruhas Proptech and Rainmatter separately pumped in Rs 6.22 crore and Rs 3.98 crore, respectively. The funding will be used for the expansion, working capital requirements, and general corporate purposes, according to the filings. Every debenture issue during the round will be converted into a preference share at the next qualified funding round and the investors are considering the same to take place at a valuation of $75 million, the filings further added. As per TheKredible estimates, the company has been valued at around Rs 394 crore or $48 million post-allotment. The company is likely to raise more funds in this round and the valuation may vary after the final tranche. SolarSquare has raised over $20 million to date including its Rs 100 crore ($12 million) Series A round led by Elevation Capital and Lowercarbon in November 2022. According to the startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Lowercrabon is the largest external stakeholder with 20.29% followed by Elevation Capital which holds 14.99%. Rainmatter and Gruhas Proptech own 3.84% and 2.50% respectively in SolarSquare. Head to TheKredible for the complete shareholding pattern. Founded by Neeraj Jain and Nikhil Nahar, SolarSquare designs, installs, and finances rooftop solar systems for homes. It also provides rooftop solar solutions for housing societies and commercial establishments. The company is yet to file its financial statements for FY24 but its revenue from operations grew 35.4% to Rs 107 crore in FY23. It posted Rs 35 crore loss in the same period. SolarSquare competes with Zunroof, Cleantech, Mysun, Oorjan, and Freyr Energy, among others. In February, the company acquired PV Diagnostics, a company with expertise in the utility scale solar power sector. Exclusive: Droom India raises funds at $360 Mn valuation IPO-bound used car marketplace Droom is raising Rs 25 crore (approximately $2.9 million) in a fresh funding round co-led by India Accelerator (IA), and Rameshchandra Shah. The board at Droom has passed a special resolution to issue 15,62,500 preference shares at an issue price of Rs 160 each to raise Rs 25 crore or $2.9 million, its regulatory filings sourced from the Registrar of Companies (RoC) shows. India Accelerator and Shah both will invest Rs 5 crore each, Shirish Patel, CEO of Prudent Corporate Advisory (wealth management company) will invest Rs 3 crore and the remaining amount will be invested by other individual investors. The firm will use these proceeds for general corporate purposes, the filings said. As per Entrackr’s estimates, the Gurugram-based firm will be valued at approximately Rs 3,097 crore or $360 million post-allotment. “We deliberately kept the valuation very low for the Indian subsidiary as a strategic move to give material upside to Indians who did not have opportunity to participate in the making of Droom in the past one decade,” said Sandeep Aggarwal, Founder and CEO of Droom, in response to queries about the company's valuation. “We plan to raise a bit more capital in the near term at much higher valuation both in Singapore and India…” Droom is an online marketplace for buying and selling used vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, and electric vehicles. It also offers rental services. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Droom has raised approximately $330 million from investors including 57 Stars, Seven Train Ventures, Lightbox, and Beenext. Droom reported Rs 85 crore in revenue for FY24, a 66% decline from Rs 253 crore in FY23. It managed to reduce its losses by 35% to Rs 40 crore in FY24. Droom is reportedly planning to file draft papers for a Rs 1,000 crore IPO in 2027, targeting a valuation between $1.2 billion and $1.5 billion.

The transaction, confirmed to Entrackr by the company, values the Gurugram-headquartered startup at a post-money valuation of $935 million. The latest fundraise kicks off Square Yards’ broader capital strategy as it reportedly prepares for a Rs 2,000 crore initial public offering (IPO) in calendar year 2026. According to the sources, it is currently in advanced negotiations to secure an additional $100 million from a couple of large global funds. This proposed infusion is expected to be a mix of debt and equity. Once completed, the round is expected to push Square Yards into the unicorn club, becoming one of the few Indian proptech companies to touch a billion-dollar valuation. The names of the funds in discussions remain undisclosed. Founded in 2014, Square Yards operates as an integrated real estate and mortgage platform, covering search, discovery, transactions, home loans, interiors, rentals, and property management. Its fintech arm, Urban Money, facilitates loans across housing, personal, and secured lending segments. More than 87% of the company’s business is driven through aggregated channels, including brokers, advisors, and lending partners, while the rest is contributed by direct operations. Over the last 12 months, Square Yards claims to have facilitated Rs 12,000 crore in property transactions and Rs 66,000 crore in loans. Square Yards posted Rs 1,410 crore (about $170 million) in revenue for FY25, with Rs 46 crore EBITDA, backed by a strong real estate cycle and higher mortgage distribution volumes. Over the past four years, the company has recorded a 51% revenue CAGR, reflecting significant operating leverage. For the twelve months ending September 2025, its revenue climbed to Rs 1,670 crore, while EBITDA surged to Rs 120 crore, which highlights the improved profitability as the company gears up for its IPO. Prior to this, Square Yards last raised $25 million in 2021 from ADM Capital, and before that $20 million from Bennett Coleman & Co. and Japan’s Genkai Capital in 2019. It competes with NoBroker, which became India’s first proptech unicorn in 2021.

HouseEazy, an online marketplace for pre-owned homes, has raised Rs 33.5 crore (around $4 million) in Series A led by Chiratae Ventures Fund with participation from Veena Jindal, Antler Innovation Fund, and IA Growth Opportunities Fund. The board at HouseEazy has issued a total of 3,915 shares at a face value of Rs 10 and premium of Rs 85,666 on preferential basis and by way of private placement, the company’s regulatory filings with Registrar of Companies show. Chiratae Ventures has invested Rs 29.62 crore, whereas Antler Innovation Fund invested Rs 2.86 crore. IA Growth Opportunities Fund and Veena Jindal invested Rs 76.25 lakh and Rs 29 lakh respectively. As per startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, HouseEazy has reached a valuation of Rs 156 crore post money (over $18 million). The company may raise more funds in this round and the valuation will vary accordingly. In December 2023, HouseEazy raised $1 million in a seed round led by Antler and picked up $370,000 in pre seed funding in June 2022. Founded in 2021 by Tarun Sainani and Deepak Bhatia, HouseEazy is building a full-stack, data driven technology platform to provide the best prices and instant liquidity to sellers and title-checked, refurbished, ready-to-move-in homes to buyers. The Noida-based company says that it uses a proprietary machine-learning algorithm with over 1.25 million data points to provide real-time price offers, eliminating the need for multiple meetings & negotiations for sellers. In December, HouseEazy claimed that it reached an ARR of Rs 250 crore (GMV) while maintaining profitability. The firm expects to hit Rs 1,000 crore ARR by March 2025 from the NCR market alone. For the fiscal year ending March 2023 (FY23), HouseEazy registered Rs 2.78 crore in operating revenue with Rs 44 lakh in loss.
