Event tech startup Ticket9 raises fresh funds Ticket9, an event technology startup backed by actors Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan, has raised new funding to expand operations into Europe. The funds will be used to expand its operations team and product capabilities. This marks the company’s first international market entry. Ticket9 did not mention the names of the investors participating in the current round. Entrackr has reached out to the company for details. Founded in 2022 by Yazhini Shanmugam and Santhos Premraj, Ticket9 offers tools for event discovery, ticketing, and guest management. The platform has powered events such as concerts, marathons, business conferences, and cultural festivals across India and overseas. Ticket9 recently managed more than 22,000 bookings at the Anirudh “Hukum” concert in Malaysia. The firm has launched Ticket9 RSVP, a model that enables invitation-based and community-focused events. Organizers can curate audiences, control entry, and simplify guest coordination for professional and social gatherings. The RSVP product will roll out to select organizers in Europe, followed by India and other markets. Its platform targets both small private gatherings and large-scale public events. Ticket9 competes with event platforms such as BookMyShow and Zomato Live in the broader ticketing and event technology segment. Its model focuses on community events, invitation flows, and curated attendance lists. Ticket9 currently operates in India and is expanding services into international markets including Dubai and Europe.

Co-founded in 2022 by Avi Chudasama, Vinod Sonagara, and Anuraag Paul, Newtral.io provides enterprise sustainability software, empowering them to achieve net zero emissions. It also enables businesses to track and mitigate their carbon emissions while implementing sustainable practices. By leveraging its platform, enterprises can effectively measure their carbon emissions, identify areas for emissions reduction, create custom dashboards, and adopt sustainable practices. The Bengaluru-based startup enables organizations to move beyond compliance and achieve measurable climate impact. By integrating reporting, insights, and action into one platform, it aims to build a scalable global solution to help businesses transition toward a low-carbon future. Newtral claims that it is trusted by over 100 companies, including Wockhardt, Meghalaya Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), and Metro Brands Limited, across pharma, real estate, and retail.

All-electric intercity bus startup Fresh Bus has raised Rs 87.5 crore ($10.5 million) in Series A funding round led by international early-stage transportation-focused VC fund Maniv, with participation from Shell Ventures, Alteria Capital, and existing investor Riverwalk Holdings. Last month, Entrackr exclusively reported about Fresh Bus’ new round. Fresh Bus will utilize the new funds to add 15 routes and deploy 150 new electric buses, the firm said in a press release. Besides scaling ops, the funds will also be deployed towards raising technological capabilities, and strengthening its team. Fresh Bus was previously backed by notable industry leaders such as CRED founder Kunal Shah, TVS Motors MD Sudarshan Venu, and Rivigo CEO Deepak Garg. Earlier, the firm also secured Rs 16 crore ($2 million) from public company ixigo. FreshBus, which offers ticketing, real-time tracking of buses, loyalty program, among other services, was founded by Sudhakar Reddy Chirra. Chirra had built bus aggregator Abhibus which was acquired by ixigo in August 2021 in a cash and stock deal. The Bengaluru-based company claims to have ferried over 4 lakh passengers to date. According to Chirra, the firm expects to scale to 1000 electric buses pan-India over the next four years. As per startup data intelligence platform TheKrediblle, FreshBus was a pre-revenue stage firm with a loss of Rs 2.1 crore during FY23. The company is yet to file its annual financial results for FY24. Fresh Bus competes with IntrCity SmartBus, ZingBus, Yolobus, and gogoBus, among several organized travel agencies across regions.
