This initiative, involving competition from Eutelsat OneWeb, Reliance Jio's venture with SES, and Globalstar, targets an extensive user base in India. Despite competitive pricing, the high initial hardware cost remains a barrier. Starlink awaits regulatory approval, facing challenges due to limited satellite coverage compared to India's robust terrestrial infrastructure. Regulatory developments are crucial for its expansion.

SpaceX falls short of its goal to achieve 100 Falcon 9 launches in 2023, with just 88 launches completed. The latest launch, carrying 23 Starlink V2-mini satellites, marked the 254th continuous successful flight for the rocket. Adverse weather conditions and equipment problems caused delays, resulting in the longest interval between Falcon 9 launches in 2023. However, SpaceX still holds an impressive record, averaging a launch every four days throughout the year. The company plans to increase its flight rate to 12 flights per month in 2024.
