Online travel aggregator (OTA) platform EaseMyTrip on Friday announced its financial results for the quarter ending December 2023 (Q3 FY24). The results show a decent growth in scale and a marginal decline in profit during the quarter. EaseMyTrip ’s revenue from operations increased 13.5% to Rs 160.8 crore in Q3 of FY24 from Rs 141.7 crore in the last quarter (Q2 FY24), as per its consolidated financial statements with the National Stock Exchange. When compared to the third quarter of the previous fiscal year (Q3 FY23), its revenue from operations rose 18.1% from Rs 136.1 crore. EaseMyTrip collected 78% of its revenue from air passage which grew 8% to Rs 125.7 crore during the quarter while revenue from hotel packages spiked 54% to Rs 20.9 crore. The remaining Rs 14.18 crore was generated via other operating services. Including non-operating income of Rs 4.52 crore, the company’s overall collection approached Rs 165.3 crore in Q3 FY24. On the expense side, employee benefits expenses accounted for 21% of the overall spendings which went up 18.5% to Rs 22.16 crore during the period. It spent Rs 16.47 crore on service costs which represent the cost of tour packages, bus and other services. The company also incurred advertising – promotion and payment gateway charges worth Rs 17.48 crore and Rs 12.95 crore in the quarter. In total, EaseMyTrip’s overall expenses rose 31.4% to Rs 105 crore in Q3 FY24 from Rs 79.9 crore during Q2 of the same fiscal year. When it comes to the bottom line, the company’s profits marginally decreased (3%) to Rs 45.68 crore in Q3 as compared to Rs 46.95 crore in Q2 of the same fiscal year. In Q3 FY23 (previous fiscal year), the company had posted Rs 41.7 crore profits. Whereas, the company’s profit before tax stood at Rs 60.26 crore. On a unit level, EaseMyTrip spent Re 0.65 to earn a rupee in Q3 FY24. For the nine months period (Apr-Dec 2024) of FY24, EaseMyTrip posted Rs 426.5 crore revenue from operations with a profit of Rs 118.5 crore. Listed in March 2021 at Rs 13 per share, EaseMyTrip saw its peak in November 2022 at Rs 66 per share. With nearly 300% growth, its current price is roaming around Rs 51 a piece with a market cap of over Rs 9,000 crore or $1 billion.

The Mumbai-based company operates in three segments: Consumer, Remarketing, and Classifieds. Income from the consumer segment formed 39% of the total operating revenue which increased to Rs 68 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 50 crore in Q3 FY25. Income from the remarketing and classified segment stood at Rs 58 crore and Rs 50 crore in the third quarter of the ongoing fiscal year. CarTrade also added Rs 17 crore from other non-operating businesses which tallied its overall revenue to Rs 193 crore in Q3 FY25, compared to Rs 152 crore in Q3 FY24. On the expense front, employee benefits expenses formed 53% of the overall spending which went up a modest 7.3% to Rs 73 crore during the period. This cost also includes share-based expenses of Rs 3.36 crore. CarTrade’s overall expenses increased 12% to Rs 140 crore in Q3 FY24 from Rs 125 crore during Q3 FY24. The strong growth and controlled spending enabled CarTrade to achieve a turnaround and post a net profit of Rs 45.5 crore in Q3 FY25, compared to a loss of Rs 23.5 crore in Q3 FY24. However, the company had already recorded a revenue of Rs 472 crore and a net profit of Rs 99 crore during the nine months of the ongoing fiscal year. CarTrade recorded a 4.78% hike in its share price today and is trading at Rs 1,433.3 (as of 12:47) with a total market capitalization of Rs 6,789 crore or $800 million.

MapMyIndia’s revenue from operations increased to Rs 114.5 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 92 crore in Q3 FY24, its unaudited consolidated quarterly report sourced from NSE shows. Income from digital map data, GPS navigation, location-based services, and IoT were the primary sources of revenue for MapMyIndia, which accounted for 90% of the total collection. This revenue source increased by 32.5% to Rs 102.4 crore in Q3 FY25. However, income from the sale of its devices generated Rs 12 crore of revenue. The cost of IoT devices, employee benefits, and technical services (outsourced) were the major cost elements, which pushed the total cost of the firm to Rs 79.4 crore in Q3 FY25 against Rs 60.5 crore in Q3 FY24. With the increase in scale, MapMyIndia recorded a 4.2% increase in its profit to Rs 32.3 crore during Q3 FY25 as compared to Rs 31 crore in the third quarter of the previous fiscal year (Q3 FY24). MapMyIndia is currently trading at Rs 1609 per share with a market capitalization of Rs 8,753 crore ($1 billion). Last month, MapMyIndia announced that its CEO and whole-time director, Rohan Verma, will step down from his executive role effective March 31, 2025. Chairman and Managing Director Rakesh Kumar Verma will continue to provide leadership at MapMyIndia.

The steady growth and surge in other income with controlled expenditure led its profits to increase by 142% to Rs 288 crore in Q3 FY25, compared to Rs 119 crore in Q3 FY24. On a unit level, it spent Rs 0.67 to earn a rupee in Q3 FY25. As of 4:40 PM, Info Edge is trading at Rs 7,910, reflecting a Rs 203.1 increase following today's results. Fintech firm Paytm announced its financial results for the third quarter of the current fiscal year (Q3 FY25) on Monday. The Noida-based company reported revenue of Rs 1,828 crore and a net loss of Rs 208 crore for the period. According to Paytm’s unaudited consolidated quarterly report filed with the National Stock Exchange, its revenue from operations declined by 35.9% year-on-year from Rs 2,850 crore in Q3 FY24 to Rs 1,828 crore in Q3 FY25. However, on a quarter-on-quarter basis, the firm recorded a 10% increase in revenue compared to Q2 FY25 (the preceding quarter). Income from payment service revenue accounted for 55% of the total operating revenue which stood at Rs 1,003 crore in Q3 FY25 while the revenue from financial and marketing services were recorded at Rs 502 crore and Rs 267 crore in the same period. The company also added Rs 189 crore from other non-operating sources, bringing its overall revenue to Rs 2016.5 crore in Q3 FY25. For the fintech firm, its employee benefits remained the largest cost center accounting for 34% of the overall cost which decreased by 36% to Rs 756 crore in Q3 FY25. This includes Rs 182 crore as ESOP cost (non-cash). Its payment processing charges and marketing costs were reduced by 42% and 48.7% to Rs 570 crore and Rs 141 crore respectively in Q3 FY25 from Rs 982 crore and Rs 275 crore in Q3 FY24. Software, communication, legal, cashback, and other overheads took the total expenditure to Rs 2,220 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 3,216 crore in Q3 FY24. A reduction across all overhead departments enabled Paytm to narrow its losses by 6.3% to Rs 208 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 222 crore in Q3 FY24.

Air ticketing contributed 68% to the company’s revenue but declined by 28% to Rs 94 crore in Q4 FY25, down from Rs 132 crore in Q4 FY24. Meanwhile, hotel packages accounted for 16.5% of the total revenue, bringing in Rs 23 crore. To the tune of scale, its total expense increased by 12% to Rs 131 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 117 crore in Q4 FY24. Service cost, payment gateway, employee benefit and costs were other major overheads for EaseMyTrip during the last quarter. For the full fiscal year ending March 2025, the total expenses rose to Rs 460 crore. EaseMyTrip booked profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 12 crore in Q4 FY25 as compared to a loss of Rs 17 crore in Q4 FY24. During FY25, the firm’s profit before tax stood at Rs 143 crore in FY25 from Rs 142 crore in FY24. EaseMyTrip closed the last trading session at Rs 11.28, with a 0.71% increase in its share price. The company’s total market capitalization stood at Rs 3,997 crore.

Insurance broking formed 87.6% of the total collections which surged by 62.4% to Rs 1,132 crore during Q3 FY25 from Rs 697 crore in Q3 FY24. The income from other operating activities, which include marketing, advertising, consulting, and support services, plunged 8% to Rs 160 crore in the same period. The firm earned Rs 100 crore from non-operating activities including financial income, tallying its overall revenue to Rs 1,392 crore in Q3 FY25, compared to Rs 965 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. For PB Fintech, employee benefits cost remained the largest cost center forming 37% of the overall expenditure. This cost increased by 22.4% YoY to Rs 487 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 398 crore in Q3 FY24. This includes Rs 51 crore as ESOP expense (non-cash). The company’s spending on advertising and promotional grew 34% to Rs 289 crore. Its network, internet, legal, rent, and other overheads pushed its total expenditure to Rs 1,307 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 926 crore in Q3 FY24. The significant year-on-year growth helped PB Fintech to post a 94.6% surge in profits to Rs 72 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 37 crore in the third quarter of the previous fiscal year. On a unit level, the Gurugram-based firm spent Rs 1.01 to earn a rupee in Q3 FY25. PB Fintech ended the day on January 30 with a share price of Rs 1,659.7 and a total market capitalization of Rs 76,225 crore (approximately $9 billion).

For the full fiscal year ending March 2025, CarTrade’s revenue rose 31% to Rs 641 crore. Including other undisclosed income, its total income for Q4 FY25 grew to Rs 189 crore, up from Rs 161 crore in Q4 FY24. The Mumbai-based company operates in three segments: Consumer, Remarketing, and Classifieds. Income from the consumer segment formed 37% of the total operating revenue which increased to Rs 63 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 49 crore in Q4 FY24. Income from the remarketing and classified segment stood at Rs 59 crore and Rs 47 crore, respectively, in the fourth quarter of the ongoing fiscal year. During the full fiscal year (FY25), income from the consumer segment stood at Rs 238 crore, whereas collection from the remarketing and classified segment stood at Rs 212 crore and Rs 192 crore, respectively. On the expense front, employee benefits expenses formed 52% of the overall spending which went up a modest 6% to Rs 71 crore during the period. Including other costs, CarTrade’s overall expenses increased 4% to Rs 136 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 131 crore during Q4 FY24. On a fiscal-on-fiscal year basis, its overall expenses increased to Rs 543 crore in the last fiscal year from Rs 457 crore in FY24. The decent growth and controlled spending enabled CarTrade to double its net profit to Rs 46 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 23 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal basis, the company’s profit spiked to Rs 145 crore in FY25. CarTrade recorded a 5.8% hike in its share price today and is trading at Rs 1,721 (as of 12:50) with a total market capitalization of Rs 8,168 crore.
