Dronetech startup Zuppa raises $1.5 Mn in bridge round Zuppa, a Chennai-based deep-tech startup focused on autonomous drone systems, has raised $1.5 million in a bridge funding round led by entrepreneur Rahul Dewan (founder of Srijan Technologies) with participation from Ajay Gupta (Capital Foods) and the Mangwani Family Office (ex-Aquapharm Chemicals). The round brings both capital and high-impact entrepreneurial backing to the company. The new funds will be used to strengthen Zuppa’s R&D and deepen its presence in defence and dual-use drone technologies. Founded by aerospace engineers, Zuppa builds fully indigenous drone intelligence platforms including flight control systems, vision guidance, secure cyber-physical stacks, and AI-based targeting. These systems are designed to operate independently of GPS and high-bandwidth internet, enabling performance in complex and remote environments. The firm claims to have built a high-barrier entry position in the defence drone segment and is already involved in post-Operation Sindoor deployments where Indian drone tech was found lacking. With deployments already underway and a patent-backed IP stack, Zuppa is also collaborating with academic institutions and government bodies to influence national drone policy and standards.

Since then, it has grown rapidly, serving over 200 enterprise clients across BFSI, staffing, healthcare, and the gig economy. TraqCheck competes with global background verification and HR tech players like HireRight, First Advantage, and Checkr.

Snap-E Cabs raises $2.5 Mn in bridge round led by IPV Snap-E Cabs, an electric mobility startup, has raised $2.5 million in a bridge round led by Inflection Point Ventures, with participation from ah! Ventures and angel investors including Shish Kharesiya, Praveen Chand, and Jaspreet Kaur. Earlier in February last year, the startup had raised $2.5 million in pre-Series A funding from Inflection Point Ventures, which supported its entry into Delhi through a partnership with Rapido, deploying 200 cars in the last three months. The proceeds will be used for product development, leasing more EV cars, and expanding operations in Delhi NCR. Founded in 2022 by Mayank Bindal and Mahendra Bindal, Snap-E Cabs operates as an EV-first ride-hailing platform while also leasing EV cars to fleet operators. Snap-E owns 100% of its fleet and has set up its own EV charging infrastructure. It currently runs 1,112 EV cars and serves more than 1.2 million paying users. Over the next year, Snap-E plans to add another 1,000 cars to bridge the supply gap in EV ride-hailing. The company claims to have achieved EBITDA profitability in January 2025. Snap-E operates in a competitive EV mobility market, going up against players like Uber, Ola, Rapido, Evera Cabs, and BluSmart. Unlike demand aggregators, Snap-E is pursuing a supply-led infrastructure model with exclusive charging hubs and full fleet ownership.

Ice cream brand Go Zero has raised $1.5 million in its follow-on pre-Series A funding round from DSG Consumer Partners, Saama, and V3 Ventures, among others. The round also saw participation from notable angel investors such as Arjun Purkayastha. Earlier in August last year, the startup had raised $1 million in its pre-Series A funding round led by DSG Consumer Partners, Saama, and V3 Ventures. Founded by Kiran Shah, Go Zero has a diversified product portfolio featuring low-calorie, high-protein, and vegan ice creams. The startup claims that all its products are sweetened with plant-based sweeteners, which are low in calories. Currently present in 16 cities and over 125 dark stores, Go Zero ice cream brand is available on both quick commerce and e-commerce platforms in less than two years of launch. In FY24, Go Zero claims to have grown 4X compared to FY23 and while it saw 7X growth on quick commerce in just 5 months this summer. Go Zero competes with Hocco and NIC. Last year, NIC had raised $11 million in a growth funding round led by Jungle Ventures whereas Hocco recently raised $12 million from Chona family and others.

Parking solutions startup Blyp has raised Rs 1.5 crore in a bridge round and featured on Zee TV and ZEE5’s startup show IdeaBaaz. The brand was showcased on the episode aired on November 2. Blyp has also raised Rs 50 lakh from entrepreneur Sandesh Sharda as part of the current bridge round following its pre-Series A. The proceeds will be used to strengthen technology, expand to metro and tier-II cities, and add malls, corporates, and institutional clients. Founded in 2018 by Dhananjaya Bharadwaj and Abhimanyu Singh, Blyp provides app-based parking and valet solutions. It offers residential, corporate, commercial, and public parking management solutions through its platform. Users can book parking, access valet services, and pay digitally. Blyp currently operates across Delhi-NCR and select smart city projects. It works with malls, RWAs, commercial complexes, and corporate parks to digitise parking allocation, access, and payments. Blyp competes with smart mobility and parking platforms such as Park+, ParkMate (legacy brand reference), Get My Parking, Secure Parking, and local municipal parking apps that digitise parking and valet services.
