The funding will be used to expand the company's customer base and make industrial cybersecurity more accessible globally. Dragos helps protect infrastructure in industries such as electric, water, oil and gas, and chemical from cyber threats. With attacks on industrial control systems increasing in frequency and sophistication, the global market for industrial cybersecurity is predicted to reach $10.2 billion by 2025. Dragos aims to provide visibility and analytics to identify and respond to threats in industrial control systems.

Its advanced solutions include resilient systems for terrestrial, inter-satellite, and ground-to-space links, designed for low latency, maximum security, and optimized data throughput. As per the Pune-based startup, Free-Space Optical Communication (FSOC) uses low-powered infrared laser beams to deliver ultra-fast, secure data links across land, air, sea, and space. Olee.space’s DEW platform, which is under development for anti-drone/UAV and anti-satellite operations, is designed to deliver precision tracking, real-time targeting, and neutralization of aerial threats. “I have always been fascinated by how lasers function. Working with light gives me happiness and I am here to do as much justice to this domain as any of my able team members. What we do here is rewarding to the country, and would continue doing so,” said James Solomon, founder and CEO of Olee.

Promethean Energy, a cleantech startup focused on decarbonising industrial heating, has raised $2 million in its pre-Series A round led by Transition VC, with participation from Sangam Venture, Sagana Capital, and Fondation Botnar. The proceeds will be used to expand its product line, build AI-based energy optimisation tools, and grow its presence in India and Southeast Asia. The Mumbai-based brand develops industrial-grade heat pump and waste heat recovery systems to replace fossil-fuel-based heating. Its products integrate thermal storage, smart controls, and energy monitoring. The firm offers solutions suited to Indian industrial conditions and operates under both CAPEX and ESCO models. Promethean's systems are used by companies including Hindustan Unilever, Godrej Industries, and Raymond Textiles. The technology is deployed across sectors such as chemicals, textiles, FMCG, and steel, with over 100,000 tonnes of CO2 savings reported annually. It aims to decarbonise 1,000 factories by 2027 and is preparing for international pilots in Bangladesh, Indonesia, and the Middle East.

The proceeds will be used to expand its autonomous systems platform and scale deployment for defence and industrial use cases. Founded in 2019 and incubated at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Tsalla Aerospace builds an AI-based autonomy stack for drones and unmanned systems. Its AI Pilot enables unmanned platforms to operate without GPS or communication support and aims to function with zero operator intervention. Tsalla works with the Indian Navy and Indian Army on multiple projects. These include confined-space reconnaissance systems, backpack-based VTOL platforms designed for single-person operation, and logistics use cases such as ship-to-ship delivery in difficult weather conditions. Tsalla competes with domestic defence and autonomy companies such as ideaForge, NewSpace Research & Tech, Sagar Defence, CRON Systems, and global dual-use autonomy developers. According to the company, it also plans to raise $8 million in a seed round to expand its autonomy stack, grow deployments in India and international markets, and enter new defence and industrial segments.

Dronetech startup Zuppa raises $1.5 Mn in bridge round Zuppa, a Chennai-based deep-tech startup focused on autonomous drone systems, has raised $1.5 million in a bridge funding round led by entrepreneur Rahul Dewan (founder of Srijan Technologies) with participation from Ajay Gupta (Capital Foods) and the Mangwani Family Office (ex-Aquapharm Chemicals). The round brings both capital and high-impact entrepreneurial backing to the company. The new funds will be used to strengthen Zuppa’s R&D and deepen its presence in defence and dual-use drone technologies. Founded by aerospace engineers, Zuppa builds fully indigenous drone intelligence platforms including flight control systems, vision guidance, secure cyber-physical stacks, and AI-based targeting. These systems are designed to operate independently of GPS and high-bandwidth internet, enabling performance in complex and remote environments. The firm claims to have built a high-barrier entry position in the defence drone segment and is already involved in post-Operation Sindoor deployments where Indian drone tech was found lacking. With deployments already underway and a patent-backed IP stack, Zuppa is also collaborating with academic institutions and government bodies to influence national drone policy and standards.

Fabless semiconductor startup Mindgrove Technologies has launched Secure IoT, claimed to be India's first commercial high-performance system on chip (SoC) for IoT devices. The chip is expected to cost 30% less than similar options in the market. Mindgrove, supported by IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation and incubated in the IIT-Madras Incubation Cell, aims to reduce the cost of devices for local companies without compromising on features. The Secure IoT chip offers programmability, flexibility, security, and superior computing power for various connected smart devices, including wearables, smart city devices, smart home devices, EV battery management systems, and control systems. Mindgrove will also provide design support to Indian brands.
