Ripplr reports Rs 91 Cr loss on Rs 1,164 Cr GMV in FY25 Distribution and supply chain platform Ripplr posted nearly three-fold GMV growth in FY24. However, its growth momentum slowed sharply as it barely achieved double-digit growth in the last fiscal year. Ripplr’s gross revenue grew by 13% to Rs 1,164 crore in FY25 from Rs 1,028 crore in FY24, according to its annual financial statement. For the uninitiated, Ripplr offers a plug-and-play distribution network as a service to digitize and manage brand operations. Goods sales accounted for 92% of Ripplr's total gross revenue, which increased by 14% year-on-year to Rs 1,068 crore in FY25. Income from logistics and warehousing were other revenue drivers for the 3One4 Capital-backed firm. Cost of materials remained the largest expense for the company which formed nearly 81% of total expenditure and rose 14.5% to Rs 1,018 crore in FY25 from Rs 889 crore in FY24. However, its employee benefit expenses declined sharply by 33% to Rs 40 crore in FY25 from Rs 60 crore in FY24. Depreciation, finance costs, and professional fees collectively added another Rs 32.5 crore while other expenses, covering logistics, store operations, and miscellaneous overheads, rose 14.5% to Rs 169.5 crore. Overall, Ripple’s total expenses increased 12% to Rs 1,260 crore in FY25. Ripplr posted a loss of Rs 91 crore in FY25, almost identical to Rs 90 crore it lost in FY24. The firm’s ROCE and EBITDA margin improved slightly to -30% and -5.88% respectively. On a unit level, Ripplr spent Rs 1.08 to earn a rupee of operating revenue in FY25, compared to Rs 1.10 in the previous fiscal. The Bengaluru-based firm recorded cash and bank balances of Rs 63 crore, while current assets rose to Rs 381 crore in FY25. Ripplr is reportedly in discussions to raise Rs 400 crore from SBI and existing investors. Before this, the company raised over $45 million. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Sojitz Corporation and 3One4 Capital are their notable investors.

Online beauty and fashion platform Nykaa reported strong growth in Q1 FY26, with its revenue from operations rising 23% year-on-year and profits surging nearly 80% during the quarter ending June 2026. According to its financial statements sourced from the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Nykaa's revenue from operations grew to Rs 2,155 crore in Q1 FY26, compared to Rs 1,746 crore in Q1 FY25. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, Nykaa’s operating revenue increased 5% to Rs 2,155 crore in Q1 FY26 from Rs 2,061 crore in Q4 FY25. The beauty segment accounted for 92% of the total revenue at Rs 1,975 crore, while the fashion segment contributed 8% of the operating income in the Q1 FY25. For Nykaa, the cost of materials constituted 56% of its total expenditure, rising to Rs 1,193 crore in Q1 FY26. Additional spending on employee benefits, finance, marketing, technology, and other overheads brought the company’s total costs to Rs 2,120 crore during the quarter. Steady growth in its scale helped Nykaa achieve nearly 80% increase in profit to Rs 24.5 crore in Q1 FY26, compared to Rs 13.64 crore in Q1 FY25. The Nykaa board has approved acquiring the remaining 40% stake in Nudge Wellness for Rs 0.15 crore, making it a wholly owned subsidiary. It has also approved additional share purchases in Earth Rhythm, increasing its stake to 75.83%. At the close of today's trading session, Nykaa's stock was priced at Rs 205.7, giving the company a market capitalization of Rs 58,828 crore (approx $6.7 billion).

**ixigo to acquire 60% stake in Spain’s Trenes for Rs 125 Cr, enters Europe** Online travel aggregator ixigo has approved the acquisition of a majority stake in Spain-based online train ticketing platform Trenes for a total investment of around Rs 125 crore. As part of the transaction, ixigo will acquire an upfront 60% stake in Trenes. Post-acquisition, Trenes will become a step-down subsidiary of ixigo. The company will also have the option to acquire the remaining shareholding at a later stage. Founded in 2013, Trenes operates across Spain and Southern Europe and is integrated with major Spanish and European rail operators, enabling multi-operator rail bookings. Spain’s rail market recorded 549 million passengers in 2024. Trenes reported operating revenue of around Rs 60 crore and a profit after tax of about Rs 15 crore in CY25. The acquisition is ixigo’s first major international deal and its strategic entry into Europe, a market widely regarded as the global benchmark for rail travel. ixigo expects to generate synergies by combining Trenes’ local market presence and rail integrations with its AI-led product capabilities and technology expertise. Founded in 2007 by Aloke Bajpai and Rajnish Kumar, ixigo operates an AI-based travel platform offering bookings across trains, flights, buses, hotels and cabs through its ixigo, ConfirmTkt and AbhiBus apps. The company reported over 54 crore annual active users in FY25. For the quarter ended December 2025, ixigo’s revenue from operations rose to Rs 317.6 crore in Q3 FY26 from Rs 242 crore in Q3 FY25, while profit increased 55% to Rs 24 crore from Rs 15.5 crore during the same period.
