As the Creator Economy Scales, Qoruz Is Building for What Comes Next At a time when influencer marketing was still an unstructured, Excel-driven exercise, Qoruz began building what would become one of India’s more comprehensive creator intelligence platforms. Over the past decade, the company has focused on bringing data, transparency, and scalability to the creator ecosystem. Co-founded in 2015 by Praanesh Bhuvaneswar, Prabakaran B, Aditya Gurwara, and Priya Vivek, Qoruz enables brands to discover, evaluate, and collaborate with creators through a structured, data-led approach. The company has expanded beyond India, with operations in Dubai over the past two years. It has raised $1 million in a pre-Series A round and is now preparing for an $8–10 million Series A raise. “With the Series A, we are looking to enter the US market,” said Priya, adding that the startup is targeting a valuation of around ₹280–300 crore. In a conversation with Entrackr, Priya Vivek, co-founder and head of revenue and partnerships, spoke about her journey and the company’s evolution. She began her career in telecom with Sify, Airtel, Tata Teleservices, and GTT in the United Kingdom, before moving to Hindustan Times. There, she met her co-founders and spotted early signals of the creator economy. Qoruz operates on a hybrid marketplace and SaaS model. The marketplace connects brands and creators directly, while the SaaS platform supports discovery, analytics, campaign planning, execution, and performance tracking. The subscription product is priced upwards of Rs 10 lakh annually. The Bengaluru-based company has worked with over 500 brands including Amazon, Flipkart, Dabur, Jiostar, L’Oréal, and Coca Cola. It hosts more than 40 lakh creators and has influenced over Rs 1,500 crore in brand spends. Priya attributes Qoruz’s edge to its data ownership and in-house algorithms, which power insights, API integrations, and brand safety measures such as detecting fake followers and bot-driven engagement. The platform is also integrating AI capabilities for campaign ideas, influencer discovery, and competitive analysis, positioning itself as an end-to-end planning engine. However, Priya noted that trust still lies with human creators. Qoruz reports SaaS retention of 80–85% and is nearing EBITDA break-even, while targeting around Rs 100 crore in revenue by FY27. “We’re focused on scaling both SaaS adoption and the marketplace,” she said.
