CERT-In, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, has issued a critical security advisory regarding potential vulnerabilities in various Microsoft products. The advisory highlights risks such as unauthorized data access, code execution, security control bypassing, spoofing, tampering, and denial-of-service attacks. Exploiting these vulnerabilities could lead to financial losses, data theft, and unauthorized access. CERT-In recommends regular software updates, robust passwords, antivirus software, and caution with links and phishing emails to mitigate these risks. Additionally, a zero-day vulnerability in Google Chrome has raised concerns, prompting a high-severity warning from CERT-In.
