Air India has benefited from the ongoing war in Ukraine and the COVID-19 pandemic, as it has become the dominant player in the India-US route. While American carriers have reduced frequency on this route, Air India has added new flights. The airline now operates 51 weekly non-stop flights to the United States, compared to 33 pre-COVID. Air India's strength lies in its non-stop flights, which appeal to business travelers, government traffic, and those visiting friends and relatives. The airline's challenge now is to improve its product offering as competition may increase in the future.
