AIMRA accuses Apple India of favouring large retailers with cashback offers

The All India Mobile Retailers Association (AIMRA) has criticized Apple India over its 'discriminatory' cashback offers for the iPhone 15 series. AIMRA alleges that Apple has allowed larger retailers and its own stores to offer cashback of up to ₹10,000, while smaller retail channels are limited to ₹3,000. AIMRA argues that this discrepancy is anti-competitive and poses a risk to sales for smaller retailers. They have urged Apple to resolve the issue quickly to ensure fairness and prevent unhealthy competition. The iPhone 15 series was launched in September 2021 at various price points.
