According to Martin Weis, managing partner at Infosys Consulting, the UK has around three years to implement AI regulations and address the potential social unrest caused by the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence. Weis believes that by 2030, approximately 30% of work hours in countries like the UK and the US could be replaced by technology. Back-office tasks and administration are expected to be most affected. Weis emphasizes the need for governments to invest in education, re-skilling programs, and legislation to mitigate the negative impact on employees. Failure to do so could result in increased inequality and economic disparities.
