Adani Group's airport business chief, Arun Bansal, called for open source and interoperable passenger processing systems at airports to break the monopoly of vendors offering such systems. Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL), which manages seven airports, is collaborating with Indian software companies to develop an indigenous software stack for passenger processing systems. Bansal highlighted the need for an open-source system and welcomed Indian software developers to create one. AAHL is working with regulators and does not see a policy change as necessary for implementing an open-source system.
