The teen with 50 Lakh+ in Bank This is the story of the founder of one of the biggest hotel chains of India - Ritesh Agarwal Ritesh was born in a Marwari family in Bissam Cuttack, Orissa with three siblings. And was brought up in Titilagarh. His father Ramesh Agarwal operated a small shop. From a very early age Ritesh wanted to be an entrepreneur. After he went to Kota for studies he realised that studing for 16 - 18 hours straight was not his cup of tea. Thus he secretly started exploring northern India and but he did not had much money so he started doing part time and while in train he would write 100s of emails to hotels saying "Please let me accomodate for free I am going to do something big in hotel chains". During his stay in various hotels Ritesh soon discovered the problem for which the hotel's customers faced - "Experience". That's when he dropped college and he became the first Indian to win the Thiel Fellowship, which awarded him $100,000 (50L+) to found Oyo rooms.
