Hi Vasant There is a platform on similar line. My POV is definitely TAM is very small. But what's is the revenue model, if it is pre - paid model as in contractor / labour has to pay to get the contacts - very difficult to survive because labour can't affor and contractor doesn't want to pay. Next biggest block - training the labourers to use the app - smartphone and basic education is important, this will be very difficult to get the labours on board. Since most of the labours are daily waged they definitely can't afford a days loss for training and interaction. One more concern for the contractor - loyalty, what if the labour leave the work halfway owing to better opportunity, how will your take responsibility on that, will there be a clause or aggreement on the same? Also most of the labours will be working with single builder/contactor - bringing out from there is a pain Also I don't see recurring business, once labour/contractor gets the contact they won't come back again

Constitution companies already have data of skilled labour and you really think that they will pickup labour from a website ? They have proper teams for projects

You're talking about building Amazon for labourers and construction companies. Am I right? Where you will operate as an intermediary service provider platform only.

Please correct me if I am wrong , this ideas's TAM will be very small . And if you scale it further in other industries, then don't you have competition with LinkedIn?

The idea is is great with lot of challenges. Firstly, the platform you're talking about there you can only let both parties meet not to finalise deals. These are hight ticket projects and are not possible without in-person meetings. Secondly, builders have systems and networks in place as soon the demands come other builder start approaching what is they get better dea out of your platform.

This idea is already pitched in Sharktank In Aus/US version and exist too . I had pitched the same Business plan in my college Ps: im a civil engineer and I know it works go for it

It's great idea but first you should go pratical with some people and reach some companies. It will give practical thoughts about GTM

Good but?. How do you know they are expert? Interview?, Profile?, all are doing the same thing?. What makes you think current system is not good?.

Firstly, its a good concept but the industry is highly recommendation and network driven, as it is capital intensive. Usually, developers/builders tend to associate with bartar contractors for the RCC structure. Contractor's responsible for the labors, raw materials and construction ,in exchange of bills and saleable inventory. Tier 1 developers either tend to have in-house setup for construction or they associate with large infra companies like CJ life capes, L&T , MICL etc to name a few. Also, there's a platform called bandhoo which provides labor and raw materials support.

It's a network & connection driven industry. 75-90% of the industry work on referral model which is more promising, guaranteed & reilable. Seems like LinkedIn for labours but ut can definitely work in west because they work individually & contract both soecially on hour basis.
