Instawork acquires Able Jobs to strengthen product suite

Staffing startup Instawork has acquired Y Combinator and Elevation Capital-backed Able Jobs . This is the maiden acquisition by the San Francisco-based company in India, which raised over $160 million. This acquisition will help Instawork to build a global product leveraging Instawork expertise and reach, according to its statement. As a part of the acquisition, Ravish Agrawal, co-founder & CEO of Able Jobs, will serve as an advisor to Instawork, while the other co-founder Siddharth Srivastava will join Instaworkas a product leader in its team. Launched in 2019, Able Jobs lets job seekers create profiles on the platform and engage in interactive learning modules, mock interviews, and assessments designed by industry experts to hone their scale. Bengaluru-based Able Jobs claims to have helped more than 35,000 candidates secure employment and registered approximately 3 million users on its platform. It has raised $2.3 million from Elevation Capital, Y Combinator, Titan Capital, Mynavi and others. Founded in 2016 by Sumir Meghani, Instawork connects businesses with skilled hourly workers. The platform provides flexible work opportunities across various industries, including hospitality, warehousing, retail, and events. It has raised $160 million from institutional investors like Benchmark, Spark Capital, and Y Combinator.
