EU looking into Apple's decision to kill Epic Games' developer account

The European Union is investigating Apple's closure of Epic Games' developer account, citing three regulations that may have been violated. The EU is assessing whether Apple breached the Digital Markets Act (DMA) by terminating the developer account. It is also evaluating whether Apple's actions comply with the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Platform-to-Business Regulation (P2B). The DMA requires Apple to allow third-party app stores, while the DSA regulates VLOPs (very large online platforms). The P2B regulation aims to increase platform transparency. Apple claims it terminated Epic's account due to the game maker's breach of contractual obligations and refers to a September 2021 US court ruling.
