The "Jio-fication" of AI Search in India We often talk about SEO in a US-centric way, but the Semrush data on AI citations has a huge implication for the Indian startup ecosystem. With the rise of vernacular search and voice-led queries (thanks to the Jio effect), Indian users are asking questions, not typing keywords. The study shows that Q&A format (+25.45%) and Clarity (+32.83%) are the biggest drivers for AI citations. For Indian founders building in the ed-tech or health-tech space, this is a massive opportunity. If you structure your content to answer the "How do I..." or "What is..." in simple, non-promotional language, you can leapfrog established players who are still stuck in the "Backlink-only" era. Takeaway: Stop building landing pages that look like ads. Build resource hubs that look like answers. Are you guys seeing more traffic from "AI Search" sources in your GA4 lately?
