🚀 I Built a Fully Local Multimodal RAG System — Here’s Why As an engineering student, I noticed something: we build AI tools using cloud APIs, but in reality, most valuable data is private — legal contracts, medical records, financial audits, insurance files, internal reports. This data cannot be uploaded due to privacy and compliance concerns. So I built a fully local Multimodal RAG system that runs entirely offline. It processes PDFs with text, tables, and images, uses embeddings with FAISS for semantic search, and generates answers using a local language model. No external APIs. No cloud. No data leaving the system. This system can support law, healthcare, finance, insurance, and enterprises — anywhere privacy matters.
