I am planning to build a station-based cycle sharing platform. Instead of buying new cycles, I will partner with people who already own cycles but are not actively using them. I will take their cycles, install a GPS-enabled IoT smart lock on each one, and place them at designated cycle stations around the city. Users will be able to locate nearby cycles through a mobile app, scan a QR code to unlock the cycle, ride it, and then return it to any authorized station after completing their trip. The cycle owners will earn income from the rentals, and I will manage the technology, tracking system, and platform operations. I would like to know what you think about this idea. Do you believe this model can work? What potential challenges or risks do you see in it?
