Exposure Work Is Not Always Opportunity Early in career, exposure work feels tempting. “Good brand hai” “Future me kaam milega” “Network badhega” Sometimes it works. Most times, it doesn’t. I’ve learned to trust my gut. If something feels unclear, unpaid, and directionless — it usually stays that way. Exposure without clarity is just free labour. Now I only do unpaid work if: Learning is real Scope is clear Respect is there Experience teaches you this slowly. Wish someone told me earlier. What’s your experience with exposure work?
