On 26 December 2019, India saw an annular solar eclipse. Across colleges in South India, especially in Kerala, Bengaluru, and Chennai, students gathered last minute on terraces, football grounds, and rooftops with makeshift eclipse glasses. Half the campus didn’t even know it was happening. Some walked out of class and suddenly saw half the crowd staring at the sky.
