Everyone’s suddenly a “Prompt Engineer.” Strip away the fancy titles, the courses, the jargon… and it’s the same thing humans have struggled with for decades: Communicating clearly. Prompt engineering is basically: Say what you want. Say it precisely. Say it without confusion. And don’t expect magic from vague instructions. That’s it. People aren’t learning AI skills. They’re finally being forced to think before they speak. AI didn’t create a new profession. It exposed how terrible most people are at giving clear directions. Call it whatever you want - “prompting,” “engineering,” “AI literacy.” At the end of the day, it’s just communication skills with a sexier label. The machine isn’t guessing. It’s simply reflecting how unclear you are. Funny how it took a trillion-dollar technology to teach people how to say what they mean. Humans really are strange creatures.
