I think SEBI should come and intervene rather stop Mutual Funds or atleast put a cap on them. Insurance Compamies and Pension Funds (MFICPF) need to stop investing in IPO companies. Here's why,, Merchant Bankers(MBs) who controls the game here. They're the dealer. They run monopoly. How?? MBs know MFICPFs are sitting on pile of cash. They just need to dig. So, what MBs do here with some good decent and promising IPOs they need to sell some 'not so promising' IPOs. Sometimes those companies push these MBs with exchanging some under table deal. So when MBs pushes these kind of IPOs they need to create illusions and build trust among retail investors and HNIs. So they let or rather force these MFICPFs to invest in these IPOs and make their anchor book strong enough. And why they invest bcz of MBs. Of MFICPFs restrain themselves from investing in bad IPOs, MBs won't allow them to invest in some of upcoming good IPOs. Fair enough?
