so I just thought of this while reading about lab grown diamonds. can the biggest companies in the world like De beers, alrosa - the ones dealing with original diamonds create ads and market lab grown diamonds as fake. I mean the ads would do it very subtly making a narrative. And since it's a narrative they wanna set into the minds of people it might just take off. they could also create a mark on their diamonds to certify it as original and just say diamonds that don't have this are not real and people would think twice before buying it. since the price of lab diamonds is 30% of the ones that come from mines, these traditional businesses would be out of business if everyone just started to buy lab grown diamonds. what do you guys think about this?
