🌑 Lunar Eclipse or Mental Eclipse? What Happens During a Lunar Eclipse (India Edition) 🚪 Windows shut. Curtains drawn. Many households close windows and draw curtains to “block negative energy” or avoid exposure to the eclipse rays. 🍽️ No food. No water. Eating is strictly avoided during the eclipse period. Some even discard cooked food, believing it becomes impure. 🛁 Bath before and after. Ritual baths are common - before to “purify,” and after to “cleanse” from eclipse exposure. 📿 Chanting and fasting. Some engage in religious chanting, meditation, or fasting, believing the eclipse is a spiritually potent time. 👶 Pregnant women kept indoors. Often told not to go outside, touch sharp objects, or eat - based on deeply rooted but unscientific beliefs. 🧹 Water drained. Tulsi leaves added. Drinking water is often discarded or “protected” with tulsi leaves to prevent contamination. 🧠 But what does science say? The eclipse is completely safe to observe. No harmful rays. No food contamination. No cosmic curses. It’s a natural, predictable event - beautiful, not dangerous.... But what about the SHADOW OVER OUR MINDS? India’s Constitution urges us to uphold scientific temper ; Article 51A(h) The Upanishads teach us to question everything; To stay CURIOUS So why do we still bow to rituals that demand obedience, not inquiry? This is NOT about the world laughing at us. It’s about us forgetting what it means to think. Not just for degrees - but for dignity. We weren’t born to follow everything blindly. We were born to ASK, to CHALLENGE, to EVOLVE. So next eclipse - don’t shut your windows. OPEN YOUR MIND.

Dude, First of all, Go and learn some basics about spirituality, culture, and religion. I bet you haven't even read the Bhagavad Gita or any other scriptures, but I has upto certain extent. You can’t even compare spirituality with science. The concept of a mental eclipse you mentioned is part of the culture of Hinduism, which has been evolving for over 4,320,000+ years.

Bro rather than blaming religion or something why don't you try researching about it ? These are practices not followed due to religion, even Chinese and many South Asian countries follow it why don't you blame them ? ooh is it because they don't follow Hinduism ? If you don't follow don't, but don't say someone else to not follow it's simple as that. We follow what we have thought and what we belive in, if you don't believe in or if you don't follow just don't isn't it simple as that ? Doesn't mean I follow all these, even I don't trust or follow few of the above statements doesn't mean I'll go and say someone else not to follow it.
